So, which single image in your profile is the most underappreciated (i.e. has fewer comments that it deserves)?

Here's mine:
   https://www.modelmayhem.com/pic.php?pid=1006514  Note:  almost 18+
I like the glint in the model's eye & the overall feel of the image.  The shadows are nicely dramatic.

Note:  I originated the post, so I make the rules -- nominate only one of your images.

Not really a "model" shot, but it's real, dramatic, and moving.

It needs some Gaussian Blur and maybe a little 'glow.' wink

Meh. Not everyone sees photos the way I do, but that's ok. Not everyone has to. I like what I do.

I'm being funny, and making fun at the myriad over- and poorly-Photoshopped images on this site. smile

These two are among my personal favorites that I've posted up, and among the least favorites of the peanut gallery.

Here's the one I'll show:
https://img2.modelmayhem.com/050824/17/430d0363b2236.jpg

And I'll link the other (not 18+, just following the rules):
https://img2.modelmayhem.com/050824/17/ … 37278b.jpg

I have my ideas as to why they're not as popular with most of you as they are with me.

Thanks. smile

I think he was eluding more to the fact that I have alot of the same "effect" applied to the photos in my port, though. It was kind of a subtle needling. Which I'm ok with. I can take a little good natured ribbing. big_smile

I'm aware I haven't got alot of experience or technical "skill" like I see in other ports, but.. For a guy who has never taken a course, a class, or had ANY pro training, and picked up a camera a couple years ago on a lark at an estate sale, I don't think I'm doing too bad. I learn alot, I read alot, I study alot of photos.. It's lead me to working for the local weekly newspaper, as well as freelancing for several of the bigger newspapers in bigger markets (IE, Canwest Media).

Here's some of the pics I took this summer, 90% of which was published.

Edit - I forgot - To Mr. Melvin... I genuinely ADORE your work. THAT'S the kind of work I'd like to be doing. smile (And I'm not being facetious. I'm quite serious.)

I think I would like it better in black and white, the pic itself is not bad at all but I'm pretty sure its stronger in bl/w
