If you are STILL retaining this guy as your manager, you have no one to blame but yourself.

Seriously, this pisses me off to NO END.  If you choose to work with scum, they will introduce you to more scum!  You should be running for the hills from all of these people...but instead you choose to whine and continue engaging in the same behavior repeatedly, wondering why things don't change.

Having looked at your profile, you also need to do a lot of work to appear more professional yourself (sorry, but you have to expect some criticism of yourself, rather than just criticism of "the other guy").  If you stopped referring to yourself as "cuteninnocent",, began using your profile for NETWORKING (rather than looking for "friends"...read between the lines, as if you were some random horny guy, and then DO THE MATH), you'd avoid many of these problems.  You need to look at this as a BUSINESS, even it if it IS just a hobby for you.

Until you do your part to be mature and responsible, you will continue this cycle.  You should not be asking for help from others when you are incapable of defending yourself (with your so-called manager).  I'll bet your "manager" doesn't have a license either, right?

I'd wish you luck; but lack of it has painfully little to do with your situation.

In short: no amount of advice can repair poor common sense.

Amen!

I would like to know who the other models are...I just don't think there are that many gwc out there doing that. No pro would do that. Sounds like a story to me !

You may not believe that there are many GWCs out there (ever visit Craigslist.org?), but that doesn't mean that what she (or I) has said is false.

Maybe the other models don't want their names revealed because they're worried about what the photog. would do to retaliate (even though I wish more models would come forward about this kind of stuff rather than keep silent).

Oh gosh..I am just discovering that this thread has been brought back and I am disapointed..this is something that happened LAST august 2005..I have shot with others since that time and have not had any bad experiences since..so I would say I am doing just fine with my judgement. The pictures I had in my port, I do not have up any longer. I am over that time and have found very good photogs that do TFP and have not tried anything with me. Like I said before just because I have a good or bad experience with a photog doesnt mean you will have the same good/bad experience. Thats like saying a guy killed his second wife and his first wife says but he was good to me..that doesnt matter! Hell people are known for change..maybe he has gotten his stuff together since then maybe he hasnt who the hell knows...all I know is that I will never create a thread in modelmayhem again..I was glad when this thread was dead and want a MODERATOR TO PLEASE KILL THIS THREAD..I dont care to talk about this any further or to be subject to anymore "you are to blame" comments, for the record since I have been on modelmayhem I have had no bad experiences with anyone so do keep in mind that this was FOREVER ago..damn I have let it go..I have forgiven the photog and talked to him because I am not a hostile person and with that said..LET IT GO! Thank you and I am hoping a mod will lock this thread in the near future...never to be seen again. (o;

Wow this thread really should be on top of the list of the Most wanted in any state. I for one have to say that you take a chance in life in any thing you do. I once took images of this one model for a tfp shoot. Just casual and fashion stuff. She mentioned that she had never done any lingerie work or nude work. So i said, Yeah sure i do just about any style of photography but Im not into porn or kiddie porn stuff. She said that if i wanted to shoot her nude or in lingerie it would cost me about $100.00 an hour for lingerie or $150.00 for nudes. I said, well thanks but i only do tfpcd shoots and as for the lingerie and nudes i had lots of models willing to to it for free. Then she added well did they include sex with the photoshoot. She said we could do a photoshoot of her and myself haveing sex and if i payed her it would be totally legal. I said well the fact that i get layed three to four times a week make me think. Pay for sex or buy new equipment. hmmm I wonder what sounded better. So i asked her to leave. Sounded gay at the time to ask a girl who just asked you to have sex with her to leave. But the paying part is what threw me off. If you meet photogs that only have one thing in mind other than shooting pics you should leave and report them to the cops and what ever site they are from. Thies AssHoles GWC are what give Photography a bad name. ENOUGH SAID.

Bravo Magic Image.

any photogrpaher that ask for sex is unprofessional and most likely a GWC
the question should never have been asked. you are there to do a shoot period.
those that ask are just perverts

I read your post and took a look at your port. For crying out loud stop your whining. "I'm so busy," "I'm broke," etc. Simple answer is; if a photographer hits on you for sex pick up your bags and leave -- period.

I have been trying to figure out how this thread came back to life!  You, I knew it had to be you.  If it wasn't you, it had to be someone like you, but now I am sure it was you.  Or at least it is someone who looks like you, talks like you and posts like you.

Oh, but I just think it is is you, hahaha.

So time to flog a dead horse.  Anyone up for it?

The industry is been damage by a few who believe that it is and honor and a privilege to shoot them, but do not bring any credentials to the table, never been published any-wear, not worked for any one, and for the most part it shows in your portfolios, (and I am not talking about your internet portfolios that any digital camera can make passable for a computer screen that is only looking at 72 DPI)
If its your body that the shooter is interested in shooting and thats all you see in his port, you need to question is motivation and if his camera is just an extension of his penis.
A real pro does not care if you are fully dressed of naked, he is there to get the job done. Remember you get what you pay for, it is not always about the money, some of us are more than willing to work something out with the models, dont expect to get great work for nothing, make and effort to make the shooter feel like the pro that he is, with the average pro charging over $100.00 per hour, offering to at least pay for prints brings the shoot back to a business transaction and that eliminates any expectations that the shoot is going to be anything else.

Correction...if a photog. asks you for sex, pick up your bags and leave, and let other models know about that photographer.

A photo shoot is not meant to be a hook-up spot, and if a photographer (or model) thinks that it is, they need to take their a$$ to a singles bar instead of using the photography (or modeling) business to get laid.  Don't photographers know that models talk???

A photographer trying to f**k his models should NOT be considered normal behavior that you just brush off, and I don't care if it is some pitiful, horny fat dude who doesn't get any.  The only time a photog. should be asking his model for sex is when the model happens to be his girlfriend.  smile

As the poster of this thread stated before, this thread is from last year and she got over that incident.  I agree that this should be locked, because she's moved on and it has to suck for her to come on here and still find people giving her a hard time and posting replies like "Get over it...I don't believe your story...etc."

You've got my vote too. Give Kinel a break and kill this thread. She wants to forget about it. Lora's port disappeared. I hope it wasn't because of this thread.

Who in the heck have you been working with that demands that midshoot? I am just stunned that there are photogs out there that would even dream of pulling that and then claiming they are professional. Makes me damn sick tongue

shoot ONLY with female photos, LOL!
Nah, just bring a friend next time..or your dad..LOL. its not right for anyone to do that kind of thing. its not professional, it doesnt even seem like they ARE REAL photographers. the best thing to do(if they are on this site) is to check if they worked with people on here and get in touch with those people...also any comments left on thier page would indicate if they are any good. sorry to hear about the bad times.

Hey, Anna.  I agree about bringing an escort to shoots, even though I haven't done that yet.  As far as checking comments on the photographer's page, I think the photographer is able to delete comments from his page, so if a model were to post a comment about him (warning other models about him) he could erase it before MM viewers see it.
