I don't have any nudes. That's the thing. I've never done it before, and I'm getting offers from magazines.

While I think you'd make a good nude model, I think you'd make a better fashion model. You have a very exotic looking face, and I think you could do a lot of implied/tease shots (like Maxim, etc.). If you don't want to do nudes, don't compromise your prinicples or limits. The fact you're getting all these requests is your hook - keep them guessing and use that angle to your advantage.

Okay...I'll be honest...if you don't want to hear honesty, stop reading now. You DO have more of a porn star face than a high fashion model face IMHO. Your look isn't edgy to me, it's more "girl next door" which is what they like for porn and Maxim and all that kind of stuff. You also do not have the body to be a high fashion model. If you want to do this for fun...do whatever you want...if you want to be a pro...you won't do it as a high fashion model. Being tall is only the half of it. You also need to have the right measurements. You don't. You're going to get offers you don't want...that's life. Not all the guys that hit on you are hot, are they? Why should all the offers you get be desirable?

EDIT: and to the OP.. I dont want to see you naked.. Unless you learn not to smirk in your pics, I dont think that dream has legs to stand on..

That movie came out AFTER she was on the Adventures of Lois and Clark...

Because I don't want to. I'm comfortable with my body. I just don't want to be portrayed like that. I've gotten offers for different magazines..Ones that I would have to be practically completely nude in, obviously.

So if I go to a party with my lawyer uncle does that make me a lawyer too? I'm surrounded by lawyers, so I must be one too...right? Of course not. Go look them up. That first agency has one of the worst, and most useless websites I've ever seen, and the 2nd, when I googled them, the first thing on the list that didn't ask me for a password or something was the link I posted a minute ago.

And yet none of the "real" agencies signed you.

Convention? That's like saying: scam.

I'm not trying to fight with you or hijack your thread- please refer to my first post where I told you where you should live if you're serious about high fashion...

edit: and also- if you want to do high fashion- as someone else pointed out- you only have the height. Hit the gym and stop eating.

You are beautiful and can do whatever you want, don't let anyone talk you into doing something that you don't feel comfortable doing, you'll only regret it later!

and I'm not sure who decided what a porn star face is, but that idea is ridiculous!

Victors International has a useless website? What do you want him to have on it?

Hmmm...I don't know...maybe some actual working links. It's a page with a few thumbs, some writing, and nothing else. It doesn't even lead anywhere. That is useless, and probably a good sign that he is just as useless. And the link goes to a page that basically says that Quickbook charges you lots of money, which is not what a real agency does. Besides, you said yourself they haven't really gotten you anything.

And I'm sure that if there are hundreds of them there, they don't just have big agencies there. I doubt there are that many BIG agencies that there were hundreds of them there in one place at one time.

Everyone wants me to get naked and I'm the photographer! Look, tasteful nude modeling can be liberating, fun, a positive experience and is absolutely not for you if you don't want to be there in the first place. I never shoot nudes with someone who hasn't indicated she wants to. It leads to a free and relaxed attitude during the shoot. I've advised you before to loosen up and I don't think being naked in front of a random photog will help.

Then why are you talking about wanting to be a high fashion model if you know it's not going to happen?

mmmmkkk....so Pennsylvania has better opportunities for girls that look like you for high fashion? PA has better high fashion photographers to help build your book? I'm confused....but don't you want to do high fashion?

Well- if you're not willing to work on being a high fashion model, then start reconsidering what it IS you're willing to work for in modeling.

I'm not sure what exactly you are asking, but my advice is to hire a decent fashion photographer and get some images in your portfolio that demonstrate fashion potential. Or talk to your agencies and ask them why they haven't done any decent shots for your folio and why they haven't got any decent work for you. Its a fact of life that there is much more porn that fashion consumed so it stands to reason that with an amateur portfolio you're not going to get offered high fashion jobs. They go to the experienced girls that are 5"10"+ and have years of experience because they started when they were 14, and are signed with Ford, Next etc. Call those agencies and go to one of their casting calls.

Dealing with people that ask you to do nudes is easy and I'm not sure why you are asking. Just delete them and take the offers that are consistent with your goals.

First though, you need to show you have what it takes to do fashion and the current portfolio doesn't.

1. stop right there. agencies don't charge anything.

2. stop asking if others are signed with big agencies....the argument is going to switch to really immature really fast.

The website also says they charge a monthly fee, and you said yourself they haven't gotten you much work.

And no...I'm not signed with any big agencies because I am 5'7", and my measurements are 28-23-33. I have no desire to be with any agencies though, as I get as much work as I can handle with my school schedule, and I'm doing exactly what I want to be doing. Making art. I have no delusions of grandeur, and no desire to be a professional high fashion model...so I'm not exactly sure what my status as a model has to do with anything.

Simple answer, like other things you are asked to do.  If you don't want to you just answer no.  And then keep looking for things you DO want to do.

You say that Playboy wanted you, but then you say that it was a photographer who works with them as well as a few other magazines.

Those are two very mutually-exclusive statements unless that photographer was one of about three, possibly four that I can think of that MIGHT be working with Playboy as well as other magazines. If you care to name the name, I can point you to an authoritative source for that list (it's been posted by an actual employee of PEI; I'd never ask you to take my word for it).

I seriously doubt that this was the case.

Anyone can say, "Hi, I work with Playboy and Maxim and FHM and I can get you in." They'd also be lying.

Add this to the fact that you've paid for representation from "agencies" that nobody has heard of and you exhibit the very typical "stars in eyes" attitude and defensiveness, and I must say, with all honestly, that I think you're in for a rude awakening.

So yes, absolutely - DO NOT DO NUDES if you are at all uncomfortable, because you'll find that they're NOT in Playboy or Maxim or FHM and the people who told you that they would have lied to you. Those photos will likely be on some web site, somewhere, and I can only imagine how you'd feel then!
