Do what you want! You have the height to do more fashion modeling than most girls on this site, and if you choose to do nude images you can always do that later and try with a company like Playboy instead of an MM photographer?

Cry me a river...
Build me a bridge...
then get over it...

At least you're getting offers... there are models here who don't.

First of all, you do not have a porn star face... whatever that is.

Do not let anybody talk you into doing anything that you do not want to do and are completely comfortable with.  You do not ever have to shoot nudes to be successful.  I shoot alot of nudes because the models I work with are comfortable with nudity, it is their style modeling and they want to!  No one is forcing them to shoot nudes and you should not let anyone force to either.

You could use some better quality images in your portfolio, but I am sure that they will come in time.

Take care and good luck!

You could probably make as much money working at the mall (absolutely no offense meant!) and not have to worry about naked pictures floating around everywhere. It's not like you make more than a few hundred bucks probably for a shoot...
Something to consider.

If you have nude images in a magazine like that.. will that lessen your chances of having an agency want you?

I'm already signed with 2 agencies, I haven't talked to either of them about this yet though.

what agents are you signed with?

If you have agents that handle your work, refer the people calling you to your booker.  Your booker will handle the details and determine if it is a help or a hurt to your career... that's what they're for.

I wouldn't say you have a "porn star" look, but your facial expressions are on the younger side. Don't give up, try changing your hair style and the photographers you work with. In this business you are who you portray yourself to be.
Good Luck

Most people want to see a beautiful woman naked. Very few want to see fat, ugly women naked.  So, if you look at it right, it's a compliment.  In the end though, it's with you that you must live, so, do what makes you happy.  Nudity isn't for everyone.  I'm guessing that you look fine naked, that doesn't mean though that you should do it, if you aren't comfortable with it, it'll show in the images. Wisely choose your friends, and your opportunities, the rest of life will take care of itself.

In repose to the original question will from memory attempt to quote SOMEONE, I forget who

"I can take random pictures on the street, which I can legally use if I want you dressed normally.  I however cannot do so with you undressed or dressed oddly, hence if I am going to the effort of setting up a Special shoot, I want your clothes to a level of my liking, be that painting your face with glitter and strapping wings to your back, to plain nude."

so that's that........  I personally don't liek nudes myself, but darn if I i'm going to the trouble to make a shoot, you aren't going to be standing there in your street wear.

And that geos TRIPLE if I'm paying you.  esp at the rates some of these people charge ($100 an hour, 5 hour minimum anyone?)  At those rates if I tell you to strip, I'd expect a "yes sir" and your clothes off to the point I specified ASAP.

of course it works the other way too..if someone's paying ME $100 an hour for photos, you better believe I'd not charge them for setting up, and I'd take what they wanted

A porn star face? I'm not toally sure what that is. However, I can say that you have a very beautiful face. As for all the requests you are getting ... do what you want to do. Don't let anyone pressure you into anything.

Do what you feel is the right thing to do.  You are borderline on height for runway - I usually see 5'9" as the entry height on most calls.

Although a lot of folks look at Playboy as porn, its glamour nude in my opinion - not porn.  Many big stars have posed for Playboy so the fact that Playboy scouted you is not all that bad - at least they like your look.  But again, you need to do what you feel is right.

just my opinion...

Welcome to reality.

So you got lucky in the gene pool and are a bit prettier than average.

What does that get you?  Not a lot nowdays.

Whether you are pretty, tall, fat or short, you are in a competition with everyone else.

You can dream about doing hi fashion all you want, but if you didn't win the gene lottery, all the dreaming in the world isn't going to get you there.

You can put down all those that choose to do nudity, or justify all your reasons for not doing nudity, but in the end, the "I didn't go further with my career because I did nudity" is just as hollow as "do nudity and it will open doors".

So you have signed with 2 agencies.  How is that working out for you?

Are you getting paid jobs?  If not, why not.

Kali,

No, you don't "look like a porn star."  (No expert here, but still ...)

There really, in this day and age, is very little correlation between success and nudity.  Many famous models and stars have appeared nude (Halle Barry, Kate Moss) and many have refused and done well (Jennifer Anniston, Terri Hatcher).

What is far more important is the work you do.  For some, nude is a shortcut to instant cash that has little future.  For others, nude is a carefully done walk to success.

Ignore the rude and crude.  Go with what you want to do.  If that is fully clothed, so be it.

One of the problems with Playboy is that they often insist that models who appear in their magazine do not do nudes with anyone else.  So, while they may give you some money either once, or once in a while, they position themselves to make sure your income for such modeling is limited to what they decide to give you...which often isn't that much.  It could be argued that they prevent their competition from being able to use you. So, even with them, be careful what you sign.  A monthly photo feature is one thing, a "non-feature" like "Girls of the Big Ten" is another.

Ok, I've thought about it more. Looked at your portfolio closer.
1. You dont have a porn star look.
2. You dont have a Playboy look.
3. You dont have images maximizing your current looks.
4. Tell the agencies to help you get the images you need or find some other agencies.
5. Dont do what you dont want to do, but realize if you dont stretch you wont grow.
Best of luck.

...I left a comment and tag on your MM port.

Further, though, I suggest you align with a photographer who can help you build a versatile portfolio. You need to establish that you and a photographer can "gel"
for the commercial/fashion images/shots.
You have good height and features, so there's nothin to it but to do it.

UGH.

The hottest high-fashion model in the world right now (In my humble opinion), Natalia Vodianova, has posed topless and nude numerous times in the last year including a feature in W magazine.

I wish you a happy successful career as a "high-fashion model" and of course, you never even have to shoot in lingerie, never mind nude. But please don't assume the "high-fashion" world is detached from nudity.

Are you thinking of Catherine Bell?

Hatcher has refused from what I hear.  She started in soap operas after modeling in her early days.

Either way, you digress from the point.  Many successful models went on to big careers and never posed nude.

Well if that was the point then the point is false.

The greater percentage of models who are/were successful did nudes before, during, and after the time that they were "popular"

Hatcher was nude on a balcony in a movie where she played a mobsters wife.. I think Alec Baldwin was the mob boss.. Aniston has done implied nudes (nude with her legs crossed and arms over her boobs) for a magazine shoot I saw.. So BOTH have been nude.. Hatcher was full frontal in the movie.. that is when I realized her boobs sagged before she was on Seinfeld saying they were real and spectacular.. LOL

EDIT: and to the OP.. I dont want to see you naked.. Unless you learn not to smirk in your pics, I dont think that dream has legs to stand on..

ugh is right.  have you ever seen that commercial where the guy asks the clerk in the hardware store about cell phone plans?

well, look around this store at the type of photography that is most abundant.  if you want fashion, go to where the fashion is instead of expecting the merchandise in this store to revolve around what suits you.  it really is as simple as that.  if that doesn't work out, c'mon back and get naked.

You don't look like any of the girls in the porns that I watch...anyway.

You're very pretty and you're only 18. Do what you're comfortable with. Wanna do high fashion?.. Move to NYC. That's pretty much it....and you're 5'8...so, you just barely make it...and some would say, that you don't.

Do what makes you comfortable. you're pictures will suck if you don't.

Plenty of girls come on here saying that they have representation- and then when they say who represents them, no one else has heard of them.
