For those who work with 5.2' and under...
what do you like about the shorter models? May 19 06 08:25 pm Link They're so damn cute. May 19 06 08:26 pm Link I like the fact that I don't have to put the camera at an odd angl to get the shot, even though I'm short too. May 19 06 08:28 pm Link that they actually say yes to TFP shoots May 19 06 08:29 pm Link Mark Reese Photography wrote: LOL - ain't that the truth! May 19 06 08:35 pm Link although i typically work with taller models, simply by the fact that most are agency talent, i do like shooting with people of all stature. would love to shoot with you too one day if possible! ä½ æç¾ä¸½çç¸ç! frank May 19 06 08:38 pm Link pegasusmaiden wrote: I don't know that I've worked with anyone under 5'2", but the first thing that comes to mind is that you can fit them in places larger models won't work. Like kitchen sinks, under the sink in a bathroom vanity, etc. You can really take advantage of the smaller size to get interesting results. May 19 06 08:41 pm Link What's not to like about them?? ;-) May 19 06 08:48 pm Link And, if you have a car with a really tiny back seat, they can sit (and sleep) there. May 19 06 08:53 pm Link Less Diva-tude. No Disillusionment about becoming the next runway supermodel. Cute and fun to work with usually. May 19 06 08:57 pm Link Hmmm..... all the beauty of tall model, minus delusional runway dreams, wraped up in a compact package. It's just more efficient! May 19 06 09:03 pm Link I don't care about height. Just show up on time and leave your hang ups somewhere far away from me. May 19 06 11:07 pm Link They fly higher when you throw them. I kid. Short people are pretty too. May 19 06 11:11 pm Link If a model has a 'look' I'm looking for, height doesn't matter. The cute factor does apply though! May 19 06 11:12 pm Link lightsandshadow wrote: I love this forum!! :-) May 19 06 11:16 pm Link Easier to shoot with my, just under, seven foot ceilings. Have shot a couple of gals that are six foot plus (shooting another on Sunday) and I do sometimes get slapped when I ask them to get down on their knees. John May 20 06 12:07 am Link It depends on the model.... But in my shooting, I've worked with models who have varied in height from 4' 10" all the way up to 6' 1". May 20 06 12:22 am Link Fearless and fun. Either I've had wonderfully fortunate experiences with the 5'2" and under models I've worked with or there's something in the genes that packs a stick of dynamite in them. *scours the scene for a sighting of Celestial* ...and I expect you to further confirm this, missy. May 20 06 03:04 am Link as long as they look hot i dont care what height they are May 20 06 03:21 am Link pegasusmaiden wrote: Well the shorter the less latex material it takes to make a outfit for her to wear. May 20 06 03:47 am Link many other modeling sites ive seen tend to shun short models. Im glad to see so many people like shorter models here. ^_^ -xyn May 20 06 03:52 am Link Damn. I'm 3" too tall! May 20 06 10:49 am Link I like that shorter models don't require as much depth of field for the camera. If you shoot a model straight on, there's no difference, but if you are shooting her horizontally, it's hard to keep everything in focus on a tall model. All their lives they have had to put forth extra heavy vibes to get the attention they crave. This shows up nicely on camera. It is a bit harder for me at 6'3" to get down low enough to shoot that "taller look" but I will put up with this to work with the shrinky girls no problem. Have Fun, Take Pictures!! May 20 06 11:08 am Link what do I like? When you wash them in hot water they don't shrink anymore May 20 06 11:10 am Link pegasusmaiden wrote: Attitude...they tend to try harder, and take themselves less seriously. May 20 06 11:16 am Link They can do the job. End of discussion. bs May 20 06 12:32 pm Link For my personal taste, I think they just tend to have cuter bodies. To me, the taller you are, the more "perfect" you have to be because everything is amplified. It seems tall women that are a bit overweight are less attractive than short women that are overweight and same is true of being underweight. May 20 06 03:55 pm Link I much prefer the proportions of a smaller model, especially when shooting nudes, I find that taller women have too much torso.. not enough curves. May 20 06 04:15 pm Link We shorter models *usually* do have more curves Not just straight up and down! May 20 06 04:21 pm Link |
