100 signs you are an internet model
#66 You publically state in your profile that you do not do any types of nude work, but in your email to photographers you give them your rate for artistic nudes. #65 See #66, but the photographer originally contacted you about doing casual and fashion work. Offline- there are crew. But that topic is discussed ad naseum in 100 different forums. Apr 06 06 10:40 pm Link #64 you say there are TFP photographers "breaking down your door" but your port never changes. #63 you say that you have all sorts of paid shoots, but maybe can fit me in, but weeks later your port never changes. Apr 06 06 10:40 pm Link Very interesting that everyone who has so far posted on here has "digital" images And also that models who have done nothing are poking fun at other models who have done nothing.. This thread had the potential to bring some much needed humour to this site ,like a David Letterman " top10 list". But of course it got shot down very quickly by people who felt the need to self promote themselves etc etc. I think this site is closer to myspace than it is to the Modeling or Photographic Industry Good luck with the rest of the thread.. Like i said, I thought it started great. Apr 06 06 10:44 pm Link #61 You have particpated in more vote driven online modeling contests than photoshoots #60 You bring 2 bags to a shoot- the big one for shoes and the small one for your lingerie errr, wardrobe #59 Your shoe collection for shoots is primarily a collection of clear dancer shoes #58 Your idea of an exceptional photographer (since you only do tfp with exceptional photographers) is ANYONE who will buy you a plane ticket #57 You post a new announcement every 20 minutes and 1 second asking for more comments Apr 06 06 10:51 pm Link #56 you are wearing your dad's 70's suit and have your mom's chihuhua in your hand with a huge smile (the backgraund is more focused that hte model since flash was used and it was too close to your face) and the description reads "a guxXxi look''. a john deer shirt and jeans equals 'dolce and babana' and a swiming suit that is too big on your waist and makes you look shorter because it's oversized and baggy is a 'more exotic-casual abercrombie look'. Apr 06 06 10:54 pm Link #55 You have more images on your portfolio with a hand covering your boobs than clothing Apr 06 06 10:56 pm Link #52 - your idea of lingerie is any panties and bra so long as the color matches #51 - You want your 'not so model-like' friend to get into shooting #50 - you completely disregard any faults or limitations sheilding them with attitude #49 - you can't stop worrying about how pretty the other models on the set are #48 - not only do you want the photographer to pay, but you want him/her to provide the MUA and Stylist too #47 - you don't know the difference between, portfolio, comp card, tear sheet, or what have you #46 - you constantly answer your phone during the set. Apr 06 06 10:58 pm Link #45 You want to do high-fashion, but you dont wear make-up #44 You want to refuse the sevices of the make-up artist because you think you can do your own, but yours looks like someone was playing mud- pies, and dollies on your face. #43 Don't understand why you should pay for Prints #42 Have no idea what a compcard is. #41 Think that CVS/Wal-Mart/ Walgreens / the supermarket are the best places to get your prints, because they are cheap.. Apr 06 06 11:00 pm Link #44 - if you do have a portfolio, the images are 4 X 6 Apr 06 06 11:01 pm Link Torrence Williams wrote: hahahah Apr 06 06 11:02 pm Link MarkMarek wrote: THAT is the best one Ive read in a long time!!!! Apr 06 06 11:05 pm Link #40 when you do figure out what comp cards and tear sheets are you expect someone to desing and print them for you for free Apr 06 06 11:06 pm Link Jesus Christ. I am an internet model. *cries* Eh, I'll get over it. Apr 06 06 11:07 pm Link Carmilla wrote: yep - but not to worry - there's a place for internet models. Why is a TFP a real experience? because photographers are contacted before contacting a model, and if the photographer knows a good person for the look he/she can recommend you. Now that we're planning on scheduling something, my rates are... $(insert some ridiculous price for someone with little experience here) and I can only make it out to New York if you pay for my plane ticket. And the shoot, I may not be on time. I'm always casually late. Teeheehee. Apr 06 06 11:16 pm Link OMG...I fall under some of these categories. That's so sad! Y'all are harsh. =O) Apr 06 06 11:16 pm Link #39 The word "AGENT" is foreign to you. #38 Your defintion of "TEAR SHEET" is a wild night in bed. #37 (part of the above two) then you write me a message asking if I have any work for you. #36 Your definition of artistic nudes is face down, ass up, and all GUTS! Apr 06 06 11:16 pm Link LMAOOO......yall are crazy.....lol Apr 06 06 11:17 pm Link Carmilla wrote: lol - have your parents get with my people - lol Apr 06 06 11:18 pm Link thida wrote: There seems to be a high correlation of posting on a modeling site on the internet, and being an internet model....... AND SAD.. that's why most models have that 'won't do nudes' banner! there's quite a difference with artistic nude and erotica nudes.. i think every model should be comfortable in their skin to do artistic nudes.. erotica nudes i agree with them not willing to do them if they don't want to, that's principles and everyone is different about that... Apr 06 06 11:23 pm Link #35 - You've never been on a go-see. #34 - You don't even know what a go-see is. #33 - You think having your photo in Secret, Marquis, Skin Two or Gothic Beauty validates you as a "real model."
