I have worked with over 8 photographers last year alone and the common dialogue was which models they have screwed or they wish to have sex with. Is this that common in the industry?

Why would I want to sleep with a model? I mean, they snore, right?

Its common but not encouraged. If both parties are attracted to one another people are still people aside from the working relationship. Now, take those attracted two people and have one of them removing clothing and the other one making them feel special with tons of awesome comments and compliments.

Do the math.

yet another new thread of a tired theme...this has been discussed at least three times that I'm aware of and prolly a few other times that I'm not aware of.

It happens now and then

the vast majority of the time it is totally consentual

No force on Earth can stop it

sometimes it leads to goodness and mutual wonderfulness and sometimes it leads to badness and mutual pissyness

just like in any other activity where boys and girls interact

I also noticed that common dialogue in the financial services industry.  And in the cutlery sales industry.  And in the unemployment industry.

It's a certain type of men. Personally, I hate that kind of talk (and already hated it long before I got married and was still dating)

Jamais! Keynmol! Nyet! No wonder my gender has such a bad rep. and women are so distrustful. Too bad I'm not an XX rather than an XY.

Once you stop seeing the models you work with as artistic partners-in-crime, but as potential lovers, you've muddied the waters, possibly forever.

Not all photographers are rude and unprofessional. No it is far from common in the industry.

I have only slept with one lady I've ever photographed.  We've been married almost 4 years now.  smile  (And no, her photo isn't in my portfolio, but her photography can be seen on MM, her portfolio is MM 205).

Well... how else is a photographer supposed to capture a "I just finished having sex" look to his photographs if that is the look he is going for? A good photographer should go to any extremes or sacrifice to capture that moment, no?

NO different than when guys go out and chat it up with their friends about the same stuff.

I've had similar conversations, but I don't give them much thought. As long as they are not trying to have sex with me...

Well, forgive me for trying to attain similar looks to many of your own pictures in your portfolio! Now a look like that comes with a lot of practice! Yes, Dawn, I was only kidding...

In my opinion fantasizing about the model may lead to a more creative photo shoot.  Acting out that fantasy could lead to disaster.

Well I am not a female model but I am a female photographer and I for one consider this to be a job and that behavior should not be tolerated...if I were to come across someone like that when I am meeting new photographers I can tell you that they would definatley not be a photographer that I would converse or work with...

I take this seriously , if I ever want to reach my goal it can be no other way....

I've heard models yammer about what photographers they'd like to bang.

Unfortunately my name was not in the discussion, but that's probably because they knew I was listening though the bathroom walls wink

Sex with a model..I'm open. Honestly, it's been so long for me: a friend asked if I was 'getting any on the side?'. I wasn't even aware it had been moved!

I find that being really rich and incredibly handsome helps a lot in seducing models.  Since I'm neither,  I don't worry about it much.

These threads come up all too often.  It is hard to distinguish the fantasies, from the realities from simple inappropriate conduct.  Yes, there are plenty of photographers (and some models) who act inappropriately.

It is the perception of the industry by the outside world which will determine the amount of acceptance we have.  As long as that perception of the Internet is negative, threads like this will just continue to feed the fire.

I personally have never had a photographer that I was attracted to in any way so it would never cross my mind to do such a thing...even if they were interested (which to my knowledge none have been yet)...

No a male photographers, male assistant thats a different story entirely! LOL (JK, I would think about it if he asked though, LOL)

I really find these subjects funny, I am not in the industry and I think it is clear where the boundaries are without the subject being so strung out.  We know folks get down in all sorts of situations.  If you don't want the drama, have another person at the shoot, it makes things a little more appropriate unless that extra person is a freak, lol.  But honestly my girlfriend is a make up artist, and it was clear the reactions received could be troublesome during shoots, and having her there has made for simple reactions, just don't set yourself up for trouble.  I want a career not some ass.  Easy decision is it not??

I certainly hope your kidding, how utterly unprofessional and disrespectful towards the industry.
