In my port it is very much the truth... I have one nude with over 6,000 views...

Make that two...

Not even need to mention nudes.
Any horrid snapshot with a woman in it in anything resembling a "sexy" pose gets 10385730858 comments like "sexy stuff girl!" and "amazing lighting and color".
Put a macro of a nipple which takes the entire frame and you get even more comments. Its quite pathetic.Perhaps half the people on the site are kids looking for porno?
Some are also "photographers" who really want to get a TFCD with the model in question,so they try to make an impression by brown nosing, wether the pics deserve it or not.
Truth be told, half of the people on the site seem to want those pat in the back comments.Last time i left a constructive critique on a photo that had nothing but useless prasie the user deleted it instantly.

I also think every photographer is a pervert =]

I see a lot of people making stupid comments. I'm sure they only commented because they saw nudity. Pathetic I tell you.

Nude images usually get more page views, but they don't always get more comments. Sometimes, it seems that several people are looking, but they are perhaps too self-conscious to make a public comment.

I've also seen cases where nude images got less views and comments than similar images in the same portfolio that contained no nudity at all. However, these cases are the in the minority.

Generally speaking, nudity usually does draw more attention, but it doesn't always draw the kind of attention one might have wanted.  wink

take care,
Glen

Welcome to the Internet

Good morning OP

You have just stepped out of your safe little world of agency modeling, and into the big bad world of internet photography. There are no rules here; a girl who is 5’ 1” in 4” stiletto heals can get paid work from photographers, so can a girl who is bigger than a size 4. The typical agency rules don’t apply to us anymore. Sorry about that, in just a few days your in box will be filled with silly little girls with crappy web cam photos saying they love your work, yet you need to pay 150.00 an hour to shoot them. Not to make it too complicated there are several different camps of people all colliding on this site:

Agency models and photographers = work for clients and have a set of standards
Artist models and photographers = work for art and the chance to be in the galleries.
Amateur models and photographers = work to learn some of these guys and girls will move up and do some great work in the above categories.
GWP and GWC = it’s all about the b(o)(o)bies.

Welcome to our world…………………………………………..wink

They do, I had nudes up for 48 hours once. I had about 250 views. Like 5 comments. I took them down, because I felt people were only looking at my nudes.

It's a sad sad world.

Comment if you think the photos represent a certain quality. Don't do it because they are nudes. I should say that nudes or sexy photos get a lot of page views. Some of us signed up for the free nude Photos we get to see that we can excuse them as arts.

I guess some people think that if a girl poses nude, she is better than the ones that doesn't.

My port is about 50/50 on nudes vs. non-nudes, but it's a non-nude photo that has by far the most views and the most comments. 732 views and 37 comments for the picture of Jessie playing in the fountain in the middle of a thunderstorm. Well, it is Jessie...

Some models just need to stop being a smart mouth. Just sit there and look pretty. Don't talk. We don't need to hear from models.

The images in my portfolio are varied. The 18+ images have less then some of the clothed imaged because the ones with twice number of comments show action in them or are of a very well know and liked model.
Nude is ok, but try drawing the attention of the viewing audience with a clothed model and I say you’ve got something.

I completely agree. I started out in the Catogory of Amature Photogrpher - as it pertains to working with Models. Now I beleive and am looking forward to creating some exceptional photos that can be displayed and maybe offered money for.

I don't kiss ass to anyone. Certainly not to models. Models are nothing more than just props with legs. That's all they are to me. They are just nothing more than a mannequin. If I could find me mannequins to work with, I would have used it instead of models.

Personally, i look at nudes as a specific art form and some of it is definitely boardline, if not completely, p0rn styled.

The male and female body are beautiful things that can be shown in so many different ways.  I'm personally working with implied and swimsuits right now since nudity is not something I want to work in at all, at the moment.

If done correctly, and I've seen it on MM before, some photos make you just say WOW... in a critical nice shot way.. not "...those are a nice set on her/him..."

nudes always get more views cause its the internet...  can't avoid it if you're posting beautiful photos of a model then having a nude right beside it.  Lukers are everywhere.

No, nuditiy is appealing to the human eye.  Its just wired in our brains that way.  I mean, think of this fact....on average, men think about sex every 52 seconds, and women on average, think about it once or twice a day. (from a special on 20/20)

So I don't think it has anything to do with who is better than who.

No, the perverts are the ones who feel all icky and dirty when they see a nude human body then try to make everyone else ashamed of it by calling them perverts.  Most of us are just grown up people who've come to terms with the concept that the human body is beautiful.
