Show me the best photograph you've ever done
Don't know if I'd call this my favorite but it has the most comments in my port so I'll go with it. The original was bright full of yellows and mid-day sun. I hand took it to dark of night using tools and actions I created in CS2 and then painted light on to each little bar individually for more realism; a lot of work but an enjoyable outcome for me and hopefully you. Lady Liberty Oct 25 06 12:08 am Link I can't do it. If I picked one, the others would all be pissed, rise up and beat the hell out of me. Death by paper cut. Or monitor burn? Oct 25 06 01:07 am Link Tossup between these 2. Oct 25 06 03:05 am Link I do modeling and photography and I get the most compliments on this self portrait -> http://myimages.onemodelplace.com/ihost … 5680&mty=p but right now my favorite is -> http://myimages.onemodelplace.com/ihost … 1924&mty=p Oct 25 06 03:18 am Link My usual answer would be something like "my next one" or "i haven't taken it yet" -- but today i feel like playing by the rules: http://www.erocrush.com/nude_update_5-06/valentine.jpg it's not work-safe though. Oct 25 06 08:47 am Link I was in New York in Monday and saw this woman in the late afternoon across from St Patrick's where "I am Legend" was being filmed - which I happened to stumble upon. The scene moved me. I shot a few frames, then I saw a man go out of his way to drop some money in her cup. He spotted me, approached, and said, "You're going to give her some money, right? You're taking her picture; you should. I'm a photographer too." Then he walked away and dissapeared into the crowd. Oct 25 06 09:33 am Link I know I've already posted but, like I said in my original response, I change my mind often. I was at an auto race a couple of weeks ago. It was late and the light was gone. I was somewhere between the stands and the pit, had a long lens and no tri or monopod. This woman was talking to a friend about 20 yards away and suddenly turned to walk away. I don't know what it was about her that caught my eye, other than that she was striking ly beautiful. I raised my camera and snapped off a shot. It was a fluke shot. Technically flawed. And one of my favorite shots ever. I wish I could find her - I'd love to shoot her! Sorry for posting twice. Oct 25 06 10:05 am Link that one because I dare you to try and stand like that in stilletto heels Oct 25 06 10:17 am Link Taken in the engine room of a 1906 steam tug. Out of all the posts here This is ONE of my favs here! You really shot at an angle to attract attention to the awesome colorings and surroundings. Bet it helped that it was a beautiful day Love this one. Oct 25 06 11:39 am Link I'm no photographer by any means but this is one of my favorite pictures I've ever taken. Oct 25 06 11:47 am Link Best? I don't know, but this one has to be my favourite - I guess that's why I use it as my avator. https://www.modelmayhem.com/pic.php?pid=960012 Marty Oct 25 06 11:48 am Link I've received more comments about this one so maybe that is my best one? (Thank pollution for the beautiful sunset). Oct 25 06 01:45 pm Link Oh yes you will, Bob, and many times over. Oct 25 06 01:45 pm Link http://pic40.picturetrail.com/VOL301/20 … 838357.jpg[img][/img] Posted on a tuesday about 4pm just before a shoot, the next day at 10:30 the model called and said to take her pics off the web and hung up on me. When I got to the studio at 2pm I found my email had more than 50 new mails about the post. At 3pm I took a look and the shot had over 1100 looks and still counting. The model called again and said she didn't want anymore calls or emails and to take her site down, she had over 600 mails and half were from people who wanted her to shoot noodies. She ended up with a few paying gigs from those mails.... Not my best shot, but definately a hit Oct 25 06 01:51 pm Link Bob Randall Photography wrote: How fucking amazing is this? Oct 25 06 01:56 pm Link Not really my best but one of my fav's. Also, be careful with the nudes on here guys or the mods will pull the thread...just an FYI. Oct 25 06 01:59 pm Link This is pretty tough company to mix with. I was especially moved by Kaitlin's and Lotus' photos and explanations. I think this recent shot is probably my favorite, not because it's such great work but because the woman in it is my best friend, phenominal lover, sweetest woman I've ever known and probably the best looking 44 year old I've ever seen. Oct 25 06 01:59 pm Link This one will always be special to me... My grandfather when he still remembered who I was (at 96). There's a lot technically wrong, but the picture still moves me... Oct 25 06 02:10 pm Link I love these threads.....there are so many amazing phographers, models, sylist, and make-up artists on this site. I love seeing everyone's work in such a positive light! Keep up the good work! Oct 25 06 02:24 pm Link This is one of my better efforts :-) If can work out how to post images ;-) Oct 25 06 02:27 pm Link ...recent favorite. https://img4.modelmayhem.com/060917/12/ … a45d0f.jpg 18+ "...And God Created Woman." Model MM#5785 MUA MM#214089 Oct 25 06 02:28 pm Link I love this thread, thanks for thinking of it. Its one of the sane reasons we're here isn't it. Oct 25 06 02:31 pm Link That was tough...I have a ton of people images...but this one is still my favorite! This was back in May of 2004 in Daikin Nebraska. This tornado went on to set a width record for a tornado at 2.5 miles wide!!! Eventually it wiped a little town of Hallam Nebraska off the map. Oct 25 06 02:36 pm Link right now this would be my choice for top https://www.modelmayhem.com/pic.php?pid=673691 18+ Oct 25 06 02:40 pm Link Craig Seay Artistry wrote: Don't you enjoy creating art from that which didn't exist before you created it. I love the combination of camera and computer done this way. Someone on MM suggested that we strive harder to use these tools in new ways to create a new form of art as opposed to trying to replicate old photographic processes with these new tools. Good job and thanks for the explanation. Oct 25 06 02:42 pm Link Bump - this thread is too cool to stop yet. Oct 25 06 04:25 pm Link The best part about Fashion is we make pictures. I made this one, it didn't happen by accident or good luck. Inga Buketova and Jonathan, my studio in the Design District I've always said that I felt bad for Richard Avedon when I first saw his picture of Nastassja Kinski and the snake. He had to know he would never take a picture that good again. Fortunately I don't have that problem, clearly I haven't imagined my best picture yet. I also agree with Bob. When Les Paul put an amplifier on the side of his guitar, he didn't make it louder, he created a new musical environment. It's given us every thing from genius of Jimi Hendrix to embarrassment of Milli Vinilli. The digital camera and the computer have given us a new visual creative opportunity, the only thing limiting the future will be our own prejudices and laziness.
