Oh, please. To tell a guy that he cannot win an argument with a female is, well, irrational.  It's also an insupportable statement and smells of ass-kissing.  I'd think you're joking but you did say this was your honest opinion.  Wow.  You need to get out more often.  And perhaps start talking with more mature women who can actually debate and consider other opinions.

my point exactly. you are right.

As he wades through the buildings toward the center of town

My goal is not to find 1000 models to work with me my friend.  My goal is to create art.

When you are really hungry any food put infront of you will look good.  Im not hungry right now, i pick and choose my models.  Its just a hobby.

My point is:

I like basketball.  If i got a call tomorrow saying i made the raptors starting line up, i would think somone is pulling my leg.  Yet when "models" meet a "photographer" on mm they believe anything they say.

How can you truely believe a photo of that quality can be used for a major ad campaign?

You are so illogical and your stereotypical statement is so pitiful that I thought this was a joke thread!

"Dude!"  One model does not represent ALL models!  As for this model you use as an example, you may not have all the facts!     So you "pick and choose" your models and it's "just a hobby!"   I think you are just mad because this model changed her mind about working with you.  You said this is NOT a model from MM, yet then you make an illogical statement "... when "models" meet a "photographer" on mm they believe anything they say."  Are you reading what you are writing?

NO, not all models believe everything a photographer says.  We can't believe everything you say based on your lack of logical thinking as to what you've written here.  So how can we believe a photo of that quality can be used for a major ad campaign?  Dude, I've seen worse photos used!

Anyone going to lock this thread?

I just like to say that in my short time shooting models I have found that most are the exact opposite of brain dead.  I did expect to meet giddy, dumb models, but instead they all have been very intelligent women who are going places.  I mean really going places.... Future doctors & scientist.  You go ladies!

You may want to read the title of the thread. It's at the top of each page, and it doesn't say what you think it says.

ChrisHughes wrote:

Is that like freedom of spinach?

If you meant freedom of speech, it's only guaranteed that the government can't stifle your speech. Nevertheless, nobody has prevented you from speaking; they're merely exercising their right to speak as well. If their speech is unattractive to you, consider how yours might sound to them.

ChrisHughes wrote:
Im here to preach "dont believe everything you hear from a photographer", yet models get upset.... its a funny world.

Yes, funny. Someone wants to "preach", so he posts a thread with a title guaranteed to alienate his [n]entire[/b] target audience.

One might realistically call if brain-dead behavior, in fact.

Funny world.

ChrisHughes wrote:
What are your thoughts on these brain dead models?  How many big headed newcomers have u met?

My thoughts are that I don't seem to have the same problem you've had with models. Most have been fairly bright, and some haven't been--pretty much like the rest of the world. Two of my models have doctorates (PhD and ScD), so if education counters a claim of brain-dead, I'd have to say your claim wasn't well supported by the evidence.

ChrisHughes wrote:
well to you it is an insult, to me this is called reality

No. Saying that one model you said almost worked with after exchanging messages for three months was probably gullible would be 'fact'. Saying "most models = brain dead" is an insult.

Anyone want to be that this is a close relative of the OP?

Yet a model with no experience, an average look says she is a model in a major ad campaign and to you this is believable?

All im saying is MODELS DONT BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU HEAR?

No, I would not say you are crazy.  Why?  Stranger things have happened.  People build relationships on trust.  There must be some starting place for trusting one another.  If you find that someone lies or is not dependable, then you have reason not to trust them.

As for your statement about models being "brain dead" ... well I know a few doctors and lawyers who model.  I also know college students who are getting degrees so that they can do what they wish.  Modeling should be enjoyable and a choice.  Not something where models worry about getting picked for work by some hobbyist who thinks that they are "brain dead" anyway!

OMG!! No wonder this dude is warning models not to be trusting him .. photographers should not trust him either!  No way would I trust anyone who confesses to having stolen his first camera at 16 .. if he did it or not!
