Hey JustineDanielle,
I really like your variation in your port but of all the photos, i feel that your third one (sorry i'm not that computerly smart to copy it on here) is not as strong as your other ones. You have a very nice face and a confident and appealing look but with all that hair in your face it does not come across. But thats just one girls opinion, the girl who happened to read the thread after you.
Best of luck and keep it going,

Thank you hun smile

Aww, thanks!

I get a lot of compliments on the shot you chose - I don't see what the draw is to it, either... I think it's the legs...

Anyway, for you, I would say...  This one:  https://modelmayhem.com/pic.php?pic_id=438c7f3e2d45e

I think that your expression is a little odd - not as cute and spunky as your others!

Justine, You're very pretty! I liked your portfolio, but to choose on this thread, I would say :
https://img4.modelmayhem.com/060418/23/ … f5ad_m.jpg
because it doesn't show your good looks as the rest of your port does. Specifically your face.

Mandie,
Your portfolio was so colorful and almost all of your photos caught my eye, so I will choose the ones that didn't catch my eye immediately:
the "waiting" and the blue bikini one. Both not really relating to your modeling, i guess just the shot as a whole.

am ready for criticism- esp since i've only done basically one shoot recently...need more tfp deals with willing photographers.*)

samantha fox-

at first i was going to pick "my knee is my best asset" but when i looked at the image fullsize i liked it- it's a good contrast to your other, more heavily done-up images. just looks a little awkward somehow as a thumbnail.

so i picked this one:
https://img2.modelmayhem.com/050805/21/ … bc098d.jpg

you have another image like it where you're looking into the camera and it's a much stronger shot. in this one you're looking at your hands but nothing is going on there except for the tie, which is not too interesting. when you look at the camera it's as though the viewer has tied you up and you're waiting for their next move. in the hands one it's like you're bored. i love the style of your portfolio though, nice work!

thanks a bunch! -I was expecting the headshot one- because its boring to me...but its my only headshot. lol. and the pic you chose, i only like because it deceptively looks like i have a nice waist...lol. I think both could have used more expression on my part. thanks again!

Aww I love you ! That was tooo sweet, give me the truth haha

Ok so least fav: Last one, third row.  Too many accessories I think. Compared to most of the pics in the last two rows, I think all the accessories take the focus off you and look kinda busy. Which is not good cause your hot !

It’s good that you’re showing your tattoos but you should make sure you get a better one on your next shoot.

Since there is no angle on the pose it makes it look like you have no body and your arms & hands look a lil funny. The one right after it is gorgeous though !

dani- the parking meter shot, because you kind of get lost behind the looming parking meter just on account of the difference in scale. also, the picture in the bottom right- your face and hair look great, but that huge white collar is really distracting.

Both...it's mostly the models though...wardrobe and makeup too...some of them just need a different angle... I can totally see what you were trying to do but I don't think it was accomplished. I hate critiquing 'cuz I don't like sounding mean.

Your execution is wonderful and you have many beautiful images. My choice for "worst" is

https://www.modelmayhem.com/pic.php?pic … 4a1bc4af9e

My reason is that you have many beautiful images of your model in the same outfit/location but this one makes her appear to have a (bone?) deformity in her fore pelvis area which I found very distracting and couldn't move away from.

My second choice would have been hair flip but only because part of her body appears to be in too much shadow. I wish she was equally lit in the sunshine her face is glowing within. But that picture's issue really couldn't compete with the ficticious growth on the model.

Best of luck to you!   Melissa

Melissa-

If I had to pick one it would be:

https://www.modelmayhem.com/pic.php?pic … bf5b3e01c7

I don't think the expression flatters you at all.

In a composition such as that one, I suppose I'd expect the model to either be biting her fingertip (near the corner of the mouth perhaps) or... well, sucking on it.  I think subtle adjustments like that would convey sexiness without being trashy or radically altering the general composition.

Just my cent and a half...

Thanks for your valuable critique, I will certainly take it into consideration. I think I like it so much because it's not the typical finger being sucked or bitten; this feels more unique to me... I find it interesting that one commentor thought it was "innocent" while another said "naughty naughty."

Your portfolio was very easy as their was really only one choice for me. I love the feel of your work.  Therefore, the one I chose was:

https://www.modelmayhem.com/pic.php?pic … f530116392

And my reason is because of the slanting wall that your model is sitting upon. It seems unnaturally tilted; perhaps your camera was held at a slight tilt(?)... it's weird. If the wall really is that misshapen by the masons I would have chosen another location OR if I liked the fact the wall was tilted, I'd have widened the perspective to make it more obvious that it was a matter of the wall being incorrectly built rather than "photographer error."  Best of luck to you!

HA!  I do, in fact, tilt my camera to some degree in most all my photos; it's the level images that are a rarity in my imagery, as the few you see online are probably the totality of all the level images I've ever taken.  Thank you for the feedback.

Heather,

The picture I would choose for removal from your port would have to be:

https://www.modelmayhem.com/pic.php?pic … 401c7eb1a8

I love the provocative suggestion but... you feel so far away and your face (in fact your entire head) seems to get lost as though it weren't even there. Had the photographer used a fill light on your facial left it would have been a stronger image. I just can't see you well enough. You're the model and therefore just as important as the bike; this does nothing to promote YOU.

Best of luck!

Melissa,
This is my least favorite in your portfolio;
Your hand looks rather manly and the other model seems to overshadow you in this photo.
