So Iâve been on MM a whoppân 15-minutes and a model sends me a message saying Welcome and how sheâd like to have some updated headshots done. I wrote back directing her to my Website with prices and a booking calendar. Before I can pull my finger off the send button, she replies back with âIâm a Professional Model, Photographers pay me, I donât pay Photographers, You must supply a Professional Make-up Artist, the Wardrobe and I always bring an escort with meâ.
So curiosity pushed me to look at her MM account. She has 3-self camera phone pictures, 2-HS Grad pictures and a link indicating more professional photographs HERE going to a MySpace page packed with GIFâs and ear splitting music.
So my question is for you seasoned MMâersâ¦â¦â¦ does it get any better?

I've meet so very professional models for the most part, but there are a lot of cell phone professionals wanting professional pics. I'm happy to pay models or help us both make money, but those that want me to pay them and they contact me, with crappy pics, nope. There are very beautiful professionals here,,,

but, as with almost anything in life, sometimes you have to take the good with the bad. so, while you wade through the unjustified ego's, unrelenting ignorance, and glistening ta-ta's around here in order to find the gems, above all else just keep in mind that this place is free. and, usually in life, you get what you pay for.

LOL...! Yes, it will/should get much better. I have had nothing but pleasant experiences on MM (I've definitely heard some horror stories!) and would simply suggest that you network, be patient and take contacts like the model you mentioned, with a grain of salt. Right now, you're fresh meat and, the little my-space piranhas are looking to pick at your bones (to see what they can get out of you!)  This site is actually FILLED with talent in all branches of the "Industry;" it is truly a wonderful source if it's used properly. Regardless, Welcome aboard, have fun and good luck! She probably assumed that since you just made a profile on MM that you're a beginner photographer (which I doubt) & obviously she's full of herself & thinks that you would jump at the chance to work with such a "professional" model as herself! haha But I promise it DOES get better! Not all models are like that! It just sucks that she had to be your first impression of MM!

It does get better...I do not know how many models I have meet who have camera phone photos and such and tell me I need to pay them and / or speak to their Manager...Ha ha
