No more caution tape and fake blood...
So I am thinking of doing a shoot with the model wrapped up with caution tape, covered in fake blood on all fours with a sheet of glass resting on her back (ya know like that stupid coffee table shot) and posing with a guitar that gives her an implied. What other lame props should I include? Dec 08 06 02:41 pm Link a railroad track.. Dec 08 06 02:46 pm Link Wings! Gotta have the wings. Dec 08 06 02:48 pm Link Rose petals! oooo and dont forget the selective desaturation. Can you get a bike and a snake in there as well do you reckon? Oh and get the model to pop a finger in her mouth Dec 08 06 02:51 pm Link I'm gonna quote what I say in my bio here and suggest you take any or all the things I've mentioned and include them: "And I'm also really rabidly against doing any photos where you ask me to wear wings, or lay across a railroad track, or lie in a tub of fake blood..unless your idea has a really unusual twist." Edit: Tim, how about putting a bathtub full of blood on the tracks with the angel wings on the tub? (lol!) Dec 08 06 03:02 pm Link Please actually do this. I'm curious to see results. Dec 08 06 03:05 pm Link I've always been of the opinion it's not about the prop(s), but in the execution. Cliche'd isn't in the elements, it's in the use of the elements. But maybe that's just me. -=>Donald Dec 08 06 03:06 pm Link More lame props than already mentioned? Is that possible? Well I certainly hope you'll have a belt wrapped around her breasts (on top of the caution tape of course). Can she also be wearing a Santa hat? And a carpenter's tool belt? Dec 08 06 03:06 pm Link she needs a pile of M&M's or Skittles in her crotch plus one finger to her lips maybe a belt around her boobs maximize the gaussian blur and some toy cars driving across her "terrain" or better yet, do all this crap suggested above to a male model..... Dec 08 06 03:09 pm Link And don't forget to point the gun right at the camera. Dec 08 06 03:10 pm Link Rick Edwards wrote: hahahahaha. Dec 08 06 03:11 pm Link I would add an old fashion telephone and the santas hat of course.. chris a hughes Dec 08 06 03:12 pm Link The young lady in my avatar and I are planning an implied behind a guitar photo. She is in a band and we'll be using her favorite guitar, so the photo will make sense to those who know her. Dec 08 06 03:44 pm Link do not fotget the large cigar Dec 08 06 03:47 pm Link And a hot rod car ; ) or maybe a motorcycle. Dec 08 06 03:50 pm Link What's with the black X electrical tape across the nipples? Wasn't that a Wendy O' thing? Dec 08 06 03:51 pm Link No more telling people "No more :::insert pet peeve here:::." Dec 08 06 04:05 pm Link Fake vampire teeth and a tiara are two things that come to mind that havent been mentioned yet. Dec 08 06 04:17 pm Link How bout a tool belt and some plastic tools Dec 08 06 04:29 pm Link I had an speech team coach that would intentionally not inform new people about what was clique, in hopes that they unknowingly might see things in a fresh light and unknowlingly twist it on it's side. I'll agree with whom ever said it before. The object isn't lame. It's how you use it that is. Dec 08 06 09:42 pm Link caution tape shoots are a sign of too much CSI input Dec 08 06 09:44 pm Link Sweet more cliche threads I'm going to shoot a girl on railroad tracks wrapped in caution tape in a parka with gas mask and angel wings with one arm covering one breast and electrical tape covering the other underneath a belt in those big ass sunglasses on a moterbike with a snake that has fake blood and vampire fangs with something on fire! And since it's Christmas throw in a santa hat, some fake snow and a bow on her head, and throw some glitter and tinsle and rose pettals around for good show Dec 08 06 09:47 pm Link Electrical tape on some body parts Handcuffs locked on one wrist A large stuffed animal Sports Car (Candy Apple Red preferred) Don't forget either stripey socks or fishnets! Dec 08 06 10:25 pm Link use a mannequin, not a model. Dec 08 06 10:28 pm Link How about rose petals? Dec 08 06 10:29 pm Link no more taking pictures at all it's too cliché and no more modeling and makeup artist or anything else, it's been done before over and over and over again....*sigh* there's no point. And no more lighting either used to much. Dec 09 06 01:20 am Link Daniel Hobson wrote: A railroad track through a cemetary.
