What did you guys think of Caridee winning? I thought the final two would of been between her and Eugena but was not surprised that Melrose lost in the end (cause of her age perhaps?) Dec 06 06 08:23 pm Link Melrose kicked CariDee's ass from Hell to breakfast. However, there was no way that they were going to make a 26-going-on-27-year-old model the next CoverGirl for a year. (Famous actress or already-established model, maybe, but not an unknown.) Melrose never had a chance to win. She came in second because she was the best by a country mile and they at least had the grace to let her go all the way to the end. And yes, she was a bitch. I didn't like her a bit. But she was the best. Unfortunately for her, the show isn't about being the best. Dec 06 06 08:27 pm Link I think the judges made the right decision and CariDee deserved to win. I also think the editing of the show helped to portray Melrose in a negatively light. I liked Melrose! People WILL be turned off by all the sunshine being blown up their asses. She just needs to relax and be real. Then she could really be awesome. Dec 06 06 09:17 pm Link I guess when it came down to it, Caridee won because she was the one Tyra felt would sell more magazines and Covergirl Cosmetics that Melrose or Eugena. I believe that is why Caridee won and I wish her the best. I know that Melrose and Eugena will do fantastic and probably will have more offers than they know what to do with. None of the girls who competed are losers, they are all in the end winners with a tremendous boost and jump start to their careers...if they chose to pursue modeling or any other field for that matter. In the end I think that the choice of Caridee as the winner of the Covergirl Infomercial .... I'm sorry I must have had a brain fart...winner of America's Next Top Model was the best choice for Tyra winning another season. Dec 06 06 09:25 pm Link Unlike some people, I liked both Caridee and Melrose (Eugena never made much of an impression on me, but I thought Anchal had potential). From a photographers POV though, I would probably rather shoot with Melrose, because she was always very professional and gave 110 percent on every shoot (at least from what I saw on the show); whereas Caridee made that stupid comment to Nigel Barker (VERY uncool) and had that disastrous TV commercial in Spain. She was the most knowledgable about the industry. She did her homework. She should have won, in my opinion. But then again, I'm not a top model, am I? haha. At least a blonde won!!! hehehe. On the other hand I absolutely adored Melrose, she performed well throughout, she was consistent and likeable and kicked ass in the runway show. To even begin to think you know the women to say one's a bitch or this or that doesn't seem fair. Not one of us actually knows any of the contestants (if you do, speak up) to give an accurate description of that person's true personality. Who ended up outshining everyone collectively across the challenges? MELROSE! Hello! Caridee...insulted a judge, completely tanked on the Spanish commercial, convulsed uncontrolably DURING a photoshoot. Am I getting my point across here? Melrose..."could have done better" or "it's not your best work" (that's the worst they had to say). Melrose was the clear professional all the way through. Should have won. Didn't. Will she get work? I stopped watching eons ago, and only started on this one because one of the girls was local and had been in a fashion show I shot back in January or February. I kept watching because I got hooked in, and wanted to see who would win, but no more of that nonsense
