Started a light hearted thread about a magazine cover. People decided that it was an excuse to attack my work. Shame on you!

I am taking a one week hiatus from the boards as of today. I am sick and tired of people. Not just MM people, but all people.

Well, she certainly deserves that Vogue cover, but I Can't Believe she'd wear that Wonder Woman bustier-thing!!

Nice to know that you have nothing to contribute to this conversation at all. Do you always randonly attack people's photos or am I just special?

what makes my avatar interesting to me is that it is a love it or hate it kind of shot. I did a beautiful C print of it, the web really doesn't do it justice.

btw: The make-up artist specifically requested this shot for her port

This strikes me as less of a photography issue and much, much more of a stylist and art director issue.

Reminds me of that recent "W" cover with Janet Jackson... someone must've had it out for her.

Crappy photograph and it looks to me very much like she has had a facelift ... she has that unnatural "fixed smile" that results from pulling the facial skin up.

Yuuup,  I just checked.  You're a damn good shooter.

And sometimes, I'm just a wee bit too playful. And anybody that can navigate in high heels has my utmost respect. Tried it once. Wasn't pretty. smile

This is fantastic!  Next time a shoot goes bad I can show them this.

How do you screw up a picture of Nicole Kidman?

I like it...

Vogue usually have a theme for their photoshoots... it's probably a theme based shoot with her.  Maybe she is a character?  Dunno, but I find the look alluring.  lol

ok, i'm weird, u can say it.

i don't mind the pose, it looks very relaxed, the outfit... eh..., the hair is a disaster though!!! it's like she had her hair tied up over night and just took out the bands and let it loose! and tried to brush it on a super humid day or something.  it's all bumpy and banshee looking.

Remember how lousy a job American film makers did with Sophia Loren compared to the Italian ones? The only exceptions I can think of are "Houseboat" and "El Cid"  This photographer doesn't understand how to make her beauty stand out. Simple as that.
