I don't know about everyone else but the more I see women with oversized rumps pointing them right at the camera, the more discouraged I get about the future of modeling.  Since when did ass become so prevalent in entertainment?  Sticking it in the camera is considered "glamour" modeling and shaking it to music is considered dancing.  WTF??  I'm a red-blooded American male who loves for a woman to have a nice behind, especially when she's my girl but that doesn't mean I want to see a portfolio full of ass in a thong and that's it.  And some of these women...wow...how is it sexy when you have a fat ass but you also have fat thighs and a flabby stomach and love handles?  It isn't.  Not to me anyway.  And I think the general public shares my sentiments.  Enjoy this fad while it lasts.

It's definitely hitting it's limit. The interesting thing is, about 10 years ago-- when skinny white models were wearing thongs in magazines and in calendars-- you couldn't pay a black model to wear a thong at a photo shoot. They had been shamed into sarongs by a society that said voluptuousness was "wrong" (pre-J Lo). Now we've got too much of it!

Girl, you are smokin' hot!

But that's not a KING magazine-type booty...

Those booties have a few pimples and lines in them...

Everything always goes from one extreme to another.  It really does bother me though... I got polaroids the other day from a girl who wanted to do a shoot... 3 of the 5 were of her ass...

There is a big difference between shooting really provocative fotos and just plain ass shots.  Honestly I think it has to do with the level of the photographer.  If a photographer has to make his/her model look appealing by sticking out an ass then I think the photographer lacks in some areas.

I swear to you any good photographer can make anyone beautiful. Thats what good photographers do... they can take anyone and find the beauty and shoot that.  And when you capture that in a photo... no ass can even begin to compete.

I guess beauty is in the ass of the beholder

I find beauty in booty.  And considering how much my work has picked up I don't see it going anywhere soon. smile

Knew you could not stay away LOL ;*)

I think its going somewhere fast. (just my opinion) Its one extreme or another in this industry and with overly skinny being banned, designers having WAY plus models walking the runway, hip hop/ rap/ r&b/ pop videos, mags like King, XXL,Vibe, Ect. having curvy big bootay girls, Its something people can embrace or not. If you dont want to, keep doing your thang. No need to get upset or discriminate on something that is rising just because you as a single person does not find it attractive. Im happy that a fusion of models are happening now and beauty is something without a "label". A mix of Super thin, medium, thick, and fat. Its life and REALITY. I love it. Once again this is my single opinion.

I understand your sentiments, but giving the ever-increasing size of the American public, my guess is that the big booty shot is here to stay.

The two images that you have in your portfolio that are emphasizing the booty seem to have the most comments, so the trend may NOT be over as quickly as you think!  Personally, I don't really like to tell a model to turn around so I can shoot her butt, but if it floats your boat have at it.  I would say to a model not to have a portfolio full of booty shots.  Doesn't shoot much versatility.  That is one dimensional.  Well, if you have a big booty, that is 3D!  Ha

I'm way to old to understand this "booty" thing. I guess it comes and goes as do different styles.

So in that respect it's probably a fad albiet a longer lasting one. I think the reason for that may be it's easier to have a big butt then working out and having a nicely shaped trim butt. At least that's how see it being translated into the daily world as does any fashion.

I daily see women with asses that need support wheels wearing the shortest and tightest clothes imaginable and really flaunting them. I think this "booty" thing has gotten out of control...LOL!

Well, I'm in no way a "thin" model.  Sexiness is about the way you carry yourself.  It's not about the size clothing you wear.  I'm not lacking any work because of it.

I have booty shots.  I love my booty.  I love my curves too.  While I think the market is being flooded by over-sexed wannabe fake models, some booty shots in your port shouldn't be a big deal... And besides, a real model won't need to fill her port with her ass in the camera. ;D

Not all of us share your sentiments.  Saying big booty shots is merely a fad is like saying big breast shots is just a fad.  to me it is finally recognizing that what is appealing to one is not necessarily appealing to others.  I also think it is a cultural thing...generally speaking, european cultures empahsize the breast more so in feminie beauty but in African and Latin cultures the rear end generally gets more attention.  No I don't think we'll see and end to big botty shoots anytime soon.

Let me tell you something.  I'm a black man.  And black men (yes, the myth is not a myth) LOVE nice ass on a woman.  Keyword "nice"...I'm sure MOST people, or ass connosieurs, prefer an ass that is fit and proportionate whether it is big or small to an outlandish ass that is so big it droops down to the upper thighs and has stretch marks and dimples from cellulite in it.  And when I see an ass like that gyrating in a music video or a club or wherever, I think to myself: "That's nasty and I bet it stinks now."  A friend of mine once said: "It's amazing how people are so fascinated by something that sh*t comes out of."  Makes you wonder, doesn't it?  ;-)

Ehh. I don't know if their days are limited...to me it seems like more of the male population is becoming responsive. I remember first hearing the word "thick" in high school, and big asses were only appealing to black dudes. But by my senior year all you could hear was "look at that fat ass!"...and that was on my team's SOCCER bus (Get it). I mean even asian girls be askin how to "plump up."
