...I look at you and you look at me and
deep in our hearts know it
That you weren't much of a muse,
but then I weren't much of a poet...

You look like a good muse.

I had one once, but she abandoned me. Sigh.

Now I have to work harder to make up for it.

Well, young lady, maybe we could meet up somewhere about half way, like the Biltmore Estate, and see if we a...muse each other.

As for FKV, my family lived (and sister still does) in Melrose, so Ocala seems like the big time compared to that.  There are some pretty little cowgirls in Ocala, but I think you might have to resort to some travel to find your real muse.  Good luck with that.

That's what I'm doing. I'm going to DC this weekend to shoot. Maybe, just maybe, I'll become a muse to that photog. *crosses fingers* wink

Actually there's a mall five minutes from me.....inhabited by 12/13 year olds pretending to be adults.....no way would I ever approach anyone at this mall.....

Jessalyn - I have to say that your images always draw me. I know I'm not alone in this - judging by the comments made by others.  smile

The girl that I would LOVE to have as my muse lives in Florida... She is an amazing creative and beautiful girl. So they are in Florida...

I just need to find one in Los Angeles.   *sigh*

I would take on any of the models responding here as a muse, but, I live in Alaska.
I actually had 2 for the summer, but then college started. Personally, I think a shoot should end with filet mignon. You get that food sedation glow, to think back on the shoot.

I guess you could create application forms for this sort of thing...but it's usually accidental.

It occurs to me I have nothing really else to contribute because the moment I think of something to write I just lull myself into a world of thoughts about my muses...ahh, wonderful chemistry. smile

Yep, there are less than 30 MM models in a hundred mile radius from me and yet I found one out there.

I once had a muse... or should I say.. she once had me.  (apologies to The Beatles Norwegian Wood).  But my point is, it goes both ways.  Many memorable muses have made their way into my life.  (long pregnant pause...)  They come when you least expect it.  One of my favs.... at least looking back on this chilly day, was that one long touristy weekend in the Northern Riviera in Italy a few years back.  Not sure what kind of friends we were, as we didn't speak the others language.  But kindred spirits... how we understood each other with just a wink, a long stare, a smile, a glare... I still get all tingley every time I taste Pinot Grigio.  And the images we created... oh my.

Muses Rock!

it seems most do disrespect to the muse by reducing her to a summer fling or some such... do not confuse the muse with a good fuck.

A friend recently told me what to expect when my wife brought home a kitten.

"You don't adopt cats.  They adopt you."

I think the same goes for Muses.

I am so far, in the Oklahoma hills, from the art world.. I would have to import a muse mail order.

Is there such a thing?  Nah..

Just have to settle for part time musings.

I think this is a perfect example of a photographer & his Muse:  http://www.pbase.com/slowpokebill

Bill also has a MM profile.  I've been a fan of his work for a couple of years.  He's lucky enough to be married to his Muse.  Bill photographs other women, but it's obvious in his work who really punches his creative buttons.

P.S. to Jessalyn:  One or two more shoots with me and I will declare you as my Muse. wink

I think people who do that have never really had a muse, per se, just briefly inspired by something that happened...

What's a muse?

I hear that word around here about as much as I see commas.

Seems like those guys in search of a muse have their caution tape, toilet, wings and gas masks ready for the moment one might show up.
