...I look at you and you look at me and deep in our hearts know it That you weren't much of a muse, but then I weren't much of a poet... Oct 31 06 02:50 pm Link Jessalyn - I have to say that your images always draw me. I know I'm not alone in this - judging by the comments made by others. The girl that I would LOVE to have as my muse lives in Florida... She is an amazing creative and beautiful girl. So they are in Florida... I just need to find one in Los Angeles. *sigh* Oct 31 06 02:51 pm Link Shoot, I'm never going to be a muse :-( Guess I'll just have to go back to being teachers pet... Oct 31 06 02:52 pm Link My muse, my wife. Oct 31 06 03:06 pm Link And here I thought this was going to be a "We love Envy (#25477)" thread. I must say I'm a bit disappointed at that, but I always like to hear discussions on muses... Oct 31 06 03:49 pm Link finding the muse is far easier than escape Oct 31 06 03:59 pm Link oldguysrule wrote: Amen Oct 31 06 04:04 pm Link You don't pick a muse they just happen to you if your lucky. I actually had 2 for the summer, but then college started. Personally, I think a shoot should end with filet mignon. You get that food sedation glow, to think back on the shoot. _Tim Oct 31 06 04:22 pm Link I guess you could create application forms for this sort of thing...but it's usually accidental. It occurs to me I have nothing really else to contribute because the moment I think of something to write I just lull myself into a world of thoughts about my muses...ahh, wonderful chemistry. Oct 31 06 04:37 pm Link I once had a muse... or should I say.. she once had me. (apologies to The Beatles Norwegian Wood). But my point is, it goes both ways. Many memorable muses have made their way into my life. (long pregnant pause...) They come when you least expect it. One of my favs.... at least looking back on this chilly day, was that one long touristy weekend in the Northern Riviera in Italy a few years back. Not sure what kind of friends we were, as we didn't speak the others language. But kindred spirits... how we understood each other with just a wink, a long stare, a smile, a glare... I still get all tingley every time I taste Pinot Grigio. And the images we created... oh my. Muses Rock! Oct 31 06 04:40 pm Link Frisson wrote: it's me isn't it? Oct 31 06 04:44 pm Link Nothing like a good muse..............For me they have a very free spirit and a lot of creative chemistry! Oct 31 06 04:52 pm Link it seems most do disrespect to the muse by reducing her to a summer fling or some such... do not confuse the muse with a good fuck. Oct 31 06 04:58 pm Link A friend recently told me what to expect when my wife brought home a kitten. "You don't adopt cats. They adopt you." I think the same goes for Muses. Oct 31 06 05:03 pm Link I am so far, in the Oklahoma hills, from the art world.. I would have to import a muse mail order. Is there such a thing? Nah.. Just have to settle for part time musings. Oct 31 06 05:32 pm Link I think this is a perfect example of a photographer & his Muse: http://www.pbase.com/slowpokebill Bill also has a MM profile. I've been a fan of his work for a couple of years. He's lucky enough to be married to his Muse. Bill photographs other women, but it's obvious in his work who really punches his creative buttons. P.S. to Jessalyn: One or two more shoots with me and I will declare you as my Muse. Oct 31 06 05:44 pm Link I inspire the photography world with my generosity of being a muse to many. Oct 31 06 06:19 pm Link i'm envious of the band Muse. Oct 31 06 06:23 pm Link oldguysrule wrote: Thank you. Oct 31 06 06:26 pm Link I would love to have a chocolate muse. They are much harder to find. ( for me) Oct 31 06 06:37 pm Link What's a muse? I hear that word around here about as much as I see commas. Seems like those guys in search of a muse have their caution tape, toilet, wings and gas masks ready for the moment one might show up. Oct 31 06 06:43 pm Link |
