Well... geez.  Um, Thank you.  I don't know what to say, which, by the way, will not prevent me from having a little acceptance speech now.

I have to say that I am encouraged, and indeed even more motivated, to serve given this recognition.  I hope to learn much from the Recruitment Director. As an assistant to the director, I understand my place in the pecking order. That said, I have high aspirations in the organization.  Which I'm unsure of, but I assume is Group W. And I have no idea who the Recruitment Director is either.  However, grave uncertainly will not prevent me from the execution of my duties (which I'm only vaguely confident of what they are).

I understand that we are all waiting for The Thread to return so we can all get back to our responsibilities.  I need to take a few moments off now (forgive me) to update my resume with my new position. Again, thank you very much.

I hope things will pick up once the original thread is restored. There's so much history there that we can draw on. Newbies feel like they're joining something special and important with so many posts. It's hard to contain the excitement that the thousands of posts seem to convey. On this thread I'm afraid that people will conclude that we don't care about Tara Jane any more.  The poetry contributions and commentary are down. Once the original Thread is back, we shouldn't focus on a post count ... we just need to look to 2007.
