''Sparkee''

or ''Spark'' for short.

(Although, when I have 'Mused' .. or attempted so to do ... the persons are either 'prospects'  'escape artists' or 'clients')

;-)

However, once sparked by their own genius ... most 'clients' move on - without so much as a visit to Tiffany's

Sarcasm doesn't seem wear well with me, so I guess I'll leave it to the pros.
The entry of pessimist was an attempt at humor, rather than an actual submission for this.  However; now that my ire has been provoked...   I will submit a real entry.

                                           Arbiter

For those who may not know:
ar·bi·ter    ( P )  Pronunciation Key  (ärb-tr)
n.
One chosen or appointed to judge or decide a disputed issue; an arbitrator.
One who has the power to judge or ordain at will: an arbiter of fashion. See Synonyms at judge.

KM von Seidl is right, the proper term is "Artist"...  The aritst is inspired by the Muse (in Greek mythology, they were 9 sisters (who were goddeses), who inspired the song-writers, Poets, and Artists (technically the scientists too, but most science in that time was also considered art - davinci, et al.).

"Muse" is already a broad term; As defined by Webster's it means "a source of inspiration"

Why are we trying to redefine the language?

Haven't we slaughtered it enough with "TFPs" and "GWCs"?

Let spend more time creating great photography and less trying to come up with new  annoying phrases :-)

Artist IS a relevantly descriptive term, I do not disagree with that premise at all-the point I am making seems to be getting missed-so I'll try to clarify:

Photographically speaking (this term IS being sought for the photographer the muse inspires) a muse is a special model that inspires the photographer significantly...accordingly, what would be a like term for the photographer so inspired?

IE: there is a unique and precious relationship between the muse and whom the muse specifically inspires...a term is sought for that inspired individual

IE: as a muse is not just ANY model-the artist so inspired is not just ANY artist...so a like term is sought to specify this in communication (the phrase "muse's artist" does do this of course)

yes muse is broad....but "model" is much broader

(and eskimos have how many words for snow?)

I am not trying to "redefine language"....I am trying to find a new term that will describe a very specific individual who is not at all common in the population (this is what language is for, efficient communication amongst it's practioners).

I don't consider "TFP" or "GWC" a "slaughtering" of language at all....rather, these are descriptive terms that efficiently communicate...without them, one needs many words to communicate the same item.

If you find the terminology annoying-don't use it. Simple! I'm sure there are some eskimos somewhere who would buy you a beer for that! haha

I am seeking the term, because I have been asked on multiple occassions by different muses I have known for such a term.....'necessity is quite a mother', yes?

As for the greek mythology and da vinci-you are a many centuries off in the subjects for your example...so um, hey hey senor-let's not slaughter history, otay? (smile)

Thanks for your input!

haha....well, you might want to choose the targets of your inspiration a little more carefully then ms. muse in waiting! (smile)

Wasn't "sparkee" an astronaught in kurt vonnegut jr's screenplay "between time and timbuktu" (my all time favorite movie).....hmmmmm, you might be on to something there! sparkee has certainly inspired me for a lifetime now.....(but alas-that is just me)

I am sorry-I was not being sarcastic at all! I was completely serious. No ire required for that...haha.

Arbiter has a distinct definition that doesn't work (for me, the generous granter of the fabulous cash prize) in the context of being muse inspired....so please keep a lid on the ire, but I like pessimist better! (smile)

Thanks for your input.

LMFAO!!!

I know...I was the one being sarcastic, by pointing that out.  And as a songwriter...I love the use of words, especially the words you don't hear or see often.  I'm just having some fun, is all.

Prefinesse? or Perfinesse?

Finesse:In contract bridge and similar games, a finesse is a technique which allows one to promote tricks based on a favorable position of one or more cards in the hands of the opponents. If one can lead up to a finessable position such as ace-queen, an additional trick can be won if the king is positioned in front of the combination of ace and queen.

A more precise definition of a finesse would be: A play that attempts to win either the current trick or a later trick with a certain card of the suit led, although the opponents hold a higher card in the suit, by taking advantage of the position of the particular cards.

A finesse is said to be on or off depending on whether or not the finessable honor is favorably placed (onside) or not (offside). Many finesses involve a combination of non-touching honors in the same hand, called a tenace.

Now... Place the word muse in a way it makes sense and voila! Perfinesse of prefinesse (pronounced per-finesse and pre-finesse) tongue

Thought of another one -

Muset' - pronounced "myoozay".

Define it as any artist any field who seeks or uses a muse for inspiration and creation of their work/art.

Maybe I'm working too hard at this, but wouldn't a kindler be "one who kindles", and therefore would describe the muse, not the artist?

I would think the muse inspires the kindler to create fire. It's that desire for fire, sparked by the muse, that causes the kindler to kindle the flame. The muse need not be a knowing participant in the process. Thusly, the muse is most likely not the kindler. Although, I suppose one can inspire one's self to put a light to something.

Or something to that effect.
