Photo Competition: Round 2: Image Posting Thread
Here's the official Posting thread for the Round 2 of the Photo Competition! Let's see who is going to come up with some amazing images. I know quite a few are working on it already. ![]() And I would just post the info again below: =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= MM Competition: Round 2 This one is fun, but more technical, and the goal is to really get some creative juice going. I admit that I am going to steal the idea from Justin. If Terry Richardson can do it, can't you? Competition 2: Disposable Camera - hosted by yours truly, supported by a distinguished panel of judges below. Updated: July 23th Definitions: Disposable camera - The disposable or single-use camera is a simple box camera sold with a roll of film installed, meant to be used once. DSLRs are not disposable cameras because they can be re-used. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Prizes: Supplied by me. It will be either: - Digital Diaries by Natasha Merritt (book cover too hot to post) OR - Art and Fear by David Bayles for the photographer ![]() - Karl Blessing would also donate two rolls of medium format film (see details below). - Karl would also place your winning images on TheBokeh.com for others to view (unless you object, that is!). It will have a link to either your MM Profile or your personal website. - The model in the winning image will receive one super hot Yoshimi Designs wifebeater top, provided by my muse Erin. ![]() Shown here by one of my favorite new models Danielle @ TCM (makeup by Dana Bretz). There are multiple colors and designs, I'll pick one for ya! =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Rules: 1. The image capturing device must be a disposable camera. Since we are in the digital age, I would also allow the digital disposable camera. 2. The camera can have flash, but it must be the fixed-lens type. 3. Only non-photo specific light sources are allowed. Examples of non-photo specific light sources include desk lamp, worklamp, headlight of a vehicle etc. The only flash allowed is the on-camera one included with the disposable camera. 4. Since this is Model Mayhem, it must involve a model. 5. There is no limit in theme. Shoot whatever you want. 6. Images cannot be retouched beyond resizing and scanner correction. Crop within the camera. 7. Deadline: Midnight, August 15th, 2006; two weeks from now (now=July 28th). 8. Images will be judged on intent, aesthetic, creativity, originality and your ability to create a lot out of very limited means. 9. Post your images in this thread (or I may open a submission thread) before August 1st. 10. Scanning help - if you need help scanning the negatives, send me a PM, I will give you my address and scan it for you. Make sure you give me plenty of time to do it! =-=-=-=-=-==-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Thankfully, we have six great judges who are willing to make the final decision. They are all accomplished MM members who are well trained and knowledgeable in the Art and whose work are well-respected by the rest of the community. I want this competition to really mean something. Distinguished Judges: - Sean Armenta - Karl Blessing - Christopher Bush - Daguerre - Marko Cecic-Karuzic - Marksora - lll (in case of a tied vote) Each image would be given a score from 1-10 (10 being the best) by each judge. I will then collect the total and announce the winners, hopefully by the end of the week. No hanging ballots! =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Jul 27 06 02:04 am Link Could you explain to me how to embed an image in my post please? Can I embed an image from my MM port or do I have to host the image on another site? Thanks Kevin Jul 27 06 07:00 am Link Ok....
