I would like to point out something that in law is affectionatly known as past precedent. A rather well known female commercial model (gay) was shooting for a rather well known company with a rather well known female photographer (gay)... photographer hit on model, pressure about images and getting the gig and so on and so forth and the model took the photographer to court. And won. And i read it in the papers at the time.

So why do people feel more safe with a woman? Kerazy internet models smile Gotta love 'em!

I have never worked with a female photographer.. at least not that I can remember. lol

I definitely wouldn't mind though. I'd let her hit on me too. It's cheating if I return the advances of a male photographer.. but not a female! wink

It's a false sense of security.  Women are conditioned to be less aggressive than men and old beliefs still exist that we are less sexually inclined than men.  And women aren't regarded in general as physically strong enough to force themselves on an unwilling recipient.  So there are a lot of reasons for this attitude that women are "safe".

All I can say is that when I'm PMSing I'm a danger to all living things.

The only thing that appeases me is sushi and a microbrew.  Maybe smoking a bowl.

because chicks are less creepy.
girls can get away w/ alot more then a male photog.
I don't know why it's just that way.
and besides there aren't enough female photogs at least not in the md/d.c./va area.

I'm bi I wasn't offended.but I don;t like chicks who do stuff w/ other girls only to please their men.
you should be w/ a chick because you want too,not to please someone else.
same thing w/ doing lesbian work.
because of one model I worked w/ I refuse to work w/ straight models anymore when I'm doing girl/girl work.
this one model said she is comfterable w/her sexuality yet her&I worked together w/ 2 different photogs and she either laughed the whole time or looked at her stupid boyfriend.
yeah that's a way to make Me hot for a girl/girl erotica shoot.*lol*

Are you straight? Are you in an open relationship?  I'm sorry that wasnt the point of this thread but what the hell. Its pretty damn curious from where i'm sitting. Infidelity is as infidelity does.

And what straight man is going to complain if he is fondled by a female photographer, as long as she is reasonably attractive and smells good??  Isn't that one of the perks of being a male model?

Rose West is half of a serial killer husband and wife team... she trapped the victims with trust and being a woman and all that jazz and then they killed them together. Its horrid but i brought it up because i'm mean sick and twisted... or something like that.

I'm gay.  I wasn't offended.

Sexuality is pretty fluid and so are relationships depending on the parties involved.

So basically, what we should be focusing on is why photographers shouldn't need an escort to protect ourselves from you....

No, I'm not straight. I'm bi. And that doesn't mean bi-curious, because I know for a fact what I like. My boyfriend wants me to be happy as long as I am honest with him, and no he doesn't ask for threesomes. I was purely being light-hearted.. you took it a little too seriously.

In MY opinion and my BOYFRIEND'S opinion, my being with a woman isn't cheating (provided I'm open with him about it). Your opinion of whether or not that counts as infidelity really doesn't matter now, does it? lol

You still haven't named your fear.

I talk about mean women. I don't bash them (unless they're Yoko Ono).. if asked, I just say why I'm bitter or whatever towards them.

I have no clue why people think they can trust female photographers more but I can tell you that trust extends past all normal boundaries.

I have photographed people because they trusted me to make them look good and create a great experence for them, or to record a great experence that was taking place.

So yea WE have broken all of the rules concerning models and photographers.
I let people know the rules and they say "f**K the rules gimmie my wine" "I don't need no changing room" "BOOBIES" "join in or get out" "we're not wasting good sushi let's eat".

It turns into a fun party every time, if I wern't a pervert I could not be happy doing what I do.

The models who automatically assume that a chick photographer is some kind of pervy lesbian out to take advantage of her, never get as far as an actual shoot with me; they always flake. Ironically-- and this is in my limited experience; I don't spend a lot of time following the careers of people who decline to shoot with me-- the women who actively give me the "why would a woman want to take pictures of other women, ewww" vibe are the "models" who are in it to actually be drooled over by GWC's.

Your mileage may vary; I think maybe the models who are concerned about girls-w-c are out there, but they're just so weirded out that they never get to the shoot stage, which means no "Was it unethical for my female photographer to offer me an extra $20 for a lapdance?" posts the weekend after the shoot. wink
