Simple little question.

Would you pose for a shoot?

Who is that disparate for a 50 year old, over weight (FAT) bald man?
I don't mind my picture being taken, but who'd want too?

yea why not--there is creativity in being a model. of course, all depends on a photographer and type of shoot--i'll stay away from the usual maxim style men with a digital dependence.

I would take a picture of a 50 year old bald fat man.  Not that the general public would lap it up, I just think that photographic expression can be a should be broader than it is normally defined.

Its funny that "Edgy" usually only has one of those elements not all three.  We could break real ground here tongue

I have for headshots. I'm also scheduled to shoot with Bob Randall July 15 for his "Restrictions" project...
If people are wondering: the shoot is artistic nude and the reason I'm doing it is to understand the gamut of feelings a person goes through when they pose nude for the camera...

Photographers, like DJ's should remain out of sight.  To answer your question though, if there was some compelling reason someone wanted me in front of the lens instead of behind it, then, who am I do deny them. lol.

has been looking for someone fitting that description for some time now. (I know, I know, this is supposed to be for photographers, but I'm just saying.....and if you don't want models to respond, shouldn't you  have put this in the photography forum?)

Same guy I mentioned in post before, and for the same reasons mentioned by another photographer when it comes to what 'edgy' truly means. IMO, a true photographer is interested in shooting everything, and if s/he specializes in people, everybody. It is only a certain segment of the photographer population who limites themselves to young beautiful thin women.

Yes,

i would do it. But it also depends on what the photographer is looking for. I've done it for other photographers and for myself.

More of me goes into my shots than the subject half the time..  Getting in front of the camera physically would be overkill.

If you modeled, or if you were shooting another photographer modeling? Or maybe in either case.....

I don't have a problem posing in front of the camera. If my hair is nicely trimmed and if I have a Stacy Adams or a Brooks Brothers suit available, I'd be much obliged :-)

Sure, had to do it for friends all the time in school.  Due to my marriage gut, I can no longer bend over in half and do self 'flexing'.

For me. I'd rather be shot than photographed. Of course, when shooting others, the blindfold might actually improve my work! Hey, thanks for the idea!!

I shoot photographers all the time.  They're interesting people, too.

From my portfolio here:

Laura, aka Moonspheres

Alan from Aavian Productions

Zille DeFeu

And a few others:

Same here. Maybe if someone wanted to use my pictures as insect or rodent repellant?

I DON'T DO NUDES SO PLEASE DON'T ASK. I'm a photographer not a hoe.

I got my start in photography by agreeing to model-- but only if the photographer would model for me. Once I started working with actual models I no longer had to pose for anyone. I've done it anyway, a couple times in the last year or two, just because a photographer friend asked nicely.

I actually have done it a few times. The most recent, being nude and actually having sex for David Steinberg. It was hard not being the photographer.  I kept wanting to direct the shots. He admitted the first roll was a waste as I was trying to feed him shots.

I think everyone should do it as it will give you a better sense of how to communicate with models. Especailly new ones who might be a bit nervous like yourlself.

In a heartbeat I'd model again. I have and will probably again in the near future, for me its used  to learn about the other side of the camera as well.

No way -- I tend to break lenses when they are pointed at me due to my horrific countenance. I need to stay behind the camera at all times.
