Sorry to be an idiot.  I requested rates from a model and got the following reply "Do you have your own clothes or lingerie?  I work TFC at 50 dollars an hour!"

Common sense make me think this is time for clothes but when I went to verify my hunch I saw some people refer to tfc as time for costs.

Somebody school me and help me understand what this means.

Thanks in advance.

it's a typo.  she probably meant KFC, and missed a decimal.

Time For Cats.

It’s what Dog models use instead of prints or $ wink

Hell they got no thumbs so can’t use a camera or a computer and what good is a portfolio with their slobber all over it?

At least with TFC they’ve got a sweet chase on their calendar after the shoot tongue

Well it's not anything really, so make up whatever you want it to be.

TF[C][CD][P][ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOP] they're all internet terms that have no clear definition.

And if her rate is $50/hour you may want to consider hiring a stripper from a nearby strip club or a model from a real modeling agency nearby (which will then be a DAY rate not an hourly one).

Based on this context, I guess she meant "time for compensation", but then she asked about apparel.  Hell, I don't know and "tfc" is certainly a new term for me too.

The term "Crock Pot" is a manufacturer's model tradename and not generic...for that you need to say "Slow Cooker" which does/does not fit in this unless you consider the "Slow" to be silent. wink

That's "Time for Christ"

If you spent more time in church kneeling before sanctimonious perverts, you'd know that.

God, do we have to tell you EVERYTHING?!

Wow, while you guys have entertained me, I'm not sure I'm a lot closer to an answer.  I'll just play dumb and tell the model that tfc is a new term to me, what does she mean.  I'll report back.

maybe she wants free clothes.

its not that uncommon for designers to pay the people who do their look books with clothing.

but for glamour, i can't help but think it is just a typo.

you say you have a store so obviously you DO have lingere...maybe she wants YOUR clothes though..?

i like 'time for cluenessness' best!

Everyone is just so funny here on MM.

I think the person was typing to fast and left the "D" off the end.  It should be TFCD.  Which we all know means: Tickled Feet Can Delight.

The site I contacted her from doesn't mention the store.  You're right though, had that been part of the equation I might have been able to guess more.

I didn't want to admit I didn't know what she was talking about in case it was was something EVERYONE but me knew. lol.  Apparently, it's not that obvious so I don't feel too bad.

BTW, I did ask the model what it meant and she said maybe it was a German thing but it meant tfcd.  Where did the $50.00 come in then?  Now I've got to ask her if $50 is a discounted rate if she gets images or if I'm still misunderstanding.

Still, if there is a misunderstanding, I can't fault her, her English is clearly much better than my German, since I don't know any German. lol

Maybe they meant my TFP rate is $50/hr.

What's not understood about TFP? It's like replying to a TFP request with my rates are $250/hr. Maybe $250/hr is TFC?

TFCD is TFCD ... $50/hour is $50/hour ...  I'm not sure who's confused here, other than me, but am I missing something?  I guess your work isn't enough?  Then it should just be money.
