I think it's ok. I mean I am old enough to make up my own mind on what I want to do. I have slept with both models and photographer both male and female. It's just a one night/day stand. So what, happens in the bars every weekend. But this way at least you have one thing in common smile

My Rules:

Rule #1: Never shoot a person whom you'd like to f***.
Rule #2: Never f*** a person whom you'd like to shoot.

I've had models come on to me two times in the past. I don't work with either model anymore.

I'm with Katie on this one......... work is work, play is play.
Plus, I havent found any model sooo damned blind that they would want to have sex with me. so I guess my self-righteous position on this is based on having never been approached.

I doubt I would be willing to put the camera down until I had the shot I was going for anyway.

Plus why would I want to ruin all my wonderful memories of when I was racing Formula cars and discovered the drivers suit was a babe magnet... now... THOSE were the days, but I digress.

Join the club, most of the guys on here couldn't get laid if they crawled up a chickens ass and waited their turn.

It's an interesting confession, some of these testimonials are great documentaries on the way a photographer views himself, the models he works with and his work ethnic in general. Based on some of these posts, there are those who I would never use to shoot for us solely based on the Tom Foolery factor. Then again, I am speaking totally about professional situations and circumstances. We cater to a models career and clients, integrity is a big selling point for us.

It happens for sure, but the way I see it, it's like having sex with a co-worker.  Typically not the best idea as it may hurt other work down the line.

Models talk to each other and photographers do the same.  Word will get around and it may hurt your reputation.

Should I or shouldn't I reply to this?tongue) I think if they're both over 18 years old...there's nothing that should stop them. But of course....they should shoot first, since afterwards if there's something weird going on....the shoot is not going to be too great...But I would not advise any model to sleep with photographers....This is an industry where everyone knows everyone....and no one wants such reputation...We should all act like professionals....but if it does happen once, it's not the end of the world, and we are all people....But this site....has too many perverts with cameras on it...and too many are just looking for dates...so girlies, think twice before you break that line...You might always regret it!

Not on the first shoot big_smile

I feel safe, because I can't imagine a model getting interested in me. As a general rule, I'd suggest that it's a bad idea, but I consider sex between co-workers in any industry a bad idea - too big a risk.

I understand the references to relationships that have worked, but I suspect there were quite a few modelling sessions before the relationship developed.

You're better off looking out for yourself if you want to make it professionally.  No amount of lust is worth a big break

LOL you think some young hot model wants your wrinkled old fat ass after you have spent enough time behind a lens and in a dark room to get good enough to be any good? LOL (rolling on the floor)

I've been knocking boots with the same model for over 26 years; so, it must be ok.

I'm still trying to figure out how to get "between the lens" let alone have sex there.

Generally speaking, it's not wise policy to have sex with employees, customers, tenants, models or photographers meeting on a professional basis.

However, it's nice to take creative pictures of anyone you date, and post them here for the rest of us to enjoy.

Some lines just aren't meant to be crossed and in this case - lack of model response speaks volumes.

Does that mean that all the sex orgies that go on around here are stag parties?

Maybe it's because many of them do and if in saying "Sure!!!111oneoneone" in this thread, they would open themselves up to being referred to by "other" names. Just a thought. wink

the relationship you pass up may be the "big break"

lust being what it is, if it crops up during a shoot imo, one should explore it to it's fullest ...

VISUALLY.

mucking up that kind of energy with body fluids is such a waste, imo.

if the tension is still there after bopping off to a restaurant, then revisit it in bed.

and good luck, the world needs more/better love stories.

kudos to the ladies who replied here.

you are a credit to your sex.

I find that it's always better to keep professional relationships professional, and personal relationships personal.... bad things can happen if you mix the two...

smile

besides.... if I slept with my models, I think word would get around... and then I'd have a million GWG's (guy's with guitars) knocking down my door. haha

When I was starting out and a young single guy I tried to have sex with all the Models. Its natural for 17 year old boy. It was my motivation to find models and shoot with them.

Today, I am older and wiser and married. Of coarse I fantasize about my models, that is the fuel to my art work, but I would never try to sleep with them now. Though muy wife loves it when I come home from a shoot all sexxed up!

The important thing is to respect each other.

Have fun and make great art.
