Okay, after getting side track.

I thank a lot of the models figure that if thats what they list then all the GWCs flood them witih request.  So some are up front and still list, and have a nice body of work.  Others choose not to list it but show some.

I just email the models I'l like to work with either clothed or nude, talk about what I'd like to do and see if they are open to working with me.  If it says no nude then I respect that.

When I work with models I have them fill out a info sheet with type of stuff they will do, and I use that as a guide for reference, as I see several other here do.

I wouldn't playing around like that.
Most people that contact me just want some form of basic studio nudes or portraits. And while I don't mind doing that kind of thing, I love it when people want to do something more.
I like costumes. I like props. I like on-location.
I like dramatic, I like goofy.
I admit I don't change my expression a whole lot in most shoots. But Thats because there really isn't much that I can work with and a smile or a scowl or a pouty lip or whatever just make things look weird.

It's an insecurity situation.I helped out a photographer during a retro pinup shoot with models that had only done high fashion. They were pretty clueless and thought they were too cool to act silly. It's a shame! They gave in eventually and it came out pretty darn cute.

what ever happened to the models that do the cutesy giggly stuff? like the greese stuff or alice in wonderland, or even the girl in a candy store with the candy (NON-PORN or NUDE)

I miss some of that stuff. I want to find some fun models to work with. Sometimes the serious faces all the time can make thing dull. I have worked with some great gals and guys, but I want to see some portfolios with some life and movement. Show us some smiles and sillyness along with your high fashion, show us your personality.

I love that stuff. I have some very funny/silly shots to put up.I just didnt get time yet. Alice in Wonderland---etc. Check back at my post--you will see. I like your Avi !

Who says you can't be silly & funny & cute and include nudity?  Some of my best shoots have included those sort of attitudes.

IMO, models who won't take their clothes off are usually stifled with ego, self importance, vanity, and restrictive mores that keep them from looking like they're having fun or being any good to work with regardless of what you're shooting with them.  Models who're happy to pose nude are more fun to work with and less likely to be unwilling to be silly & crazy and do creative fun stuff.  I'd rather shoot a model who will take her clothes off than one who won't even for work where the clothes will stay on.

I am so glad to see such diverse reactions to this post. It is nice to hear about what people think when it comes to photo ideas and situations that can make or break a moment in photography and such.
