what ever happened to the models that do the cutesy giggly stuff? like the greese stuff or alice in wonderland, or even the girl in a candy store with the candy (NON-PORN or NUDE)

I miss some of that stuff. I want to find some fun models to work with. Sometimes the serious faces all the time can make thing dull. I have worked with some great gals and guys, but I want to see some portfolios with some life and movement. Show us some smiles and sillyness along with your high fashion, show us your personality.

One of the models I've worked with rarely smiles or gets giggly.  Then again, she's got that sex kitten thing going for her.  What I can't stand are those dead expressions on models.  There's no life or passion and it's like their eyes aren't connecting with the camera and the world beyond.

How is this for a "candy store girl"?  She was a great pleasure to shoot with.

One of these days, I'm going to do a photo shoot where all of the shots are just silly. I just need to find a photographer who is willing to help with that...

Well fashion and glamour isnt supposed to be fun and cute, its usually serious and sultry. The stuff I shoot for paysites is 95% fun and cute, girl next door kinda stuff because thats what sells best for that genre.

I must say that the title of this thread is astoundingly clever. For you, I might even pose with a lollipop and smile. I don't really go for crinoline white skirts though....

No fun allowed if you're gonna make it to the top!
Models being silly and what not!?! There's no room!

*** quit lookin' to the left!  eyes forward!  i'ma tawkin' to ewe! ***

If models can't emote or shooters can't shoot pure seduction then nothing else matters!

Pots on heads, bubblegum stuck on ya nose, rollin' dem eyes - nobody notices that childish stuff.

So that's the story, and it's clear cause I've x-ray vision!

grrrrr - no, wait!

last time I checked, it said so right on her port. In fact, I believe she has a story about a photographer that made her send him her photos through e-mail cause he couldn't figure out how to use mm......

Ahh, yes... I've noticed that as well.  It appears that many who are trying to model think that the expression of choice is morbid indifference... which they of course believe to be debilitatingly sexy.  Gets a little tired after a while.  The fact that there are other moods to portray is apparently lost on them...

...sometimes (even just in my painting!) I get the impression that everyone thinks I'm TOO cute and childish. Whatever...my portfokio's out there-decide for yourselves. The fairy pics are nice, and my avatar headshot has the "sweet and innocent" thing apparently-but even that's better than Barbie doll cute. On the other hand, it would be fun to do a cute-girl-with-a-pony idea. Morbid blank indifference?! No way would that ever go over well with either my looks or personality. Rest assured, all virtually anyone will ever see from me is quality interesting work.

I've seen quite a bit of the Alice in Wonderland type of stuff but that seems to be done more by people in the Goth/Industrial genre.

Ohhhh this is such a nice change.  It's nice to hear a request like this.  Usually, I'm having to have a knock-down-drag-out brawl with my photographers to keep my clothing ON.

I would LOVE it if they would ask for "cutesy" from me!

I was being silly, since there are so many posts about nude stuff, I do bodypainting, but I like all sorts of stuff. Now that I have moved to Houston, hoping to get a studio to shoot all sorts of cool things, fashion, serioud, editorial, cute, prude, nude, all the crazy cool stuff that defines art and expression I suppose

Has anyone had to battle with getting the model to put on MORE clothes/leave their clothes on? I've actually had that problem...

"No! This isn't a lingerie shoot!"

Never thought I'd have a conversation like that with a beautiful woman.

I have come across it on rare occasions, mainly if the outfits are too constricting and it is a fashion show kinda thing. Some people are nudists though, so I dunno. I gues sit all just depends who you work with. Each person is different.

I'd love to do those kind of shoots. I smile sometimes and photographers say not to. An Alice in Wonderland shoot or something sounds fun. And I don't take my clothes off either...
