What monitor are you using?
I am looking to re-invest, what monitor are you currently using? If you could buy another, what would you prefer? Dell always makes pretty decent monitors for the price Jun 03 09 04:59 pm Link samsung 245bw for my powermac g5, i got it a while back when it was a bit more money, its a good monitor and has ability to move up and down and tilt quite a bit, even the base rotates im thinking of looking for another to go dual monitor soon, just running out of space for all the computers i have Jun 03 09 05:07 pm Link I have a acer 22" widescreen and a hanns-g on the desk with the spyder2 for calibrating. I use the acer the most, its a little brighter, but I need to make sure to keep that in mind. Jun 03 09 05:15 pm Link I have a 23" Viewsonic, Cintiq 21ux, and a 28" Hanns-g. Jun 03 09 05:17 pm Link eMachines flat panel lcd hd monitor. I like it Jun 03 09 05:19 pm Link 2 x Eizo CG24 Jun 03 09 05:38 pm Link JeF Briguet wrote: Oooo! Jun 03 09 07:23 pm Link The laptop screen from a Sony Vaio thats about 6 years old....I think I should probably join you in investing Jun 03 09 07:28 pm Link Dell 2405 Jun 03 09 10:24 pm Link 24" Eizo ColorEdge CE240W 12" Wacom Cintique I've only had both of these for roughly a year so I wont be upgrading any time soon but if I could, I'd probably get one of the CG series of Eizo's and a larger Cintique; or the next generation Cintique... whenever that is. Jun 03 09 10:47 pm Link Westinghouse 22 inch widescreen, flat panel Jun 03 09 10:50 pm Link La Cie monitor and I love it ... in the next few years I might look into an Eizo. Until then, this is working good for me. Evan NeoLux Studios Jun 03 09 10:50 pm Link Ruben Vasquez wrote: I would love to get my hands on the New Cintiques, I will probably invest in one next. Jun 03 09 10:56 pm Link currently using a Samsung SyncMaster 204B, but I really miss my 22" Viewsonic CRT. That thing was a monster in terms of deskspace, but I find LCDs don't really show gradation as well (unless maybe you buy one of the spendy ones, I haven't tried them). My next mon will be another Sammy, though. Jun 03 09 11:03 pm Link Solstice Retouch wrote: Yeah working on a Cintique is a blast! It really speeds up the workflow when doing any touch-ups and painting. It also works especially well for Corel Painter. Big step up from the 17" iMac that I was using! Jun 03 09 11:38 pm Link On a budget, you can look at the 20" Dell 2007FP. Why?? 1. Height adjustable stand AND ROTATES 90degrees. This is a great feature for working on Portrait images. 2. It ships most of the time with an S-IPS panel. 178 viewing angles needed for photo work. (BUT: Dell ships the same model with lame TN panels sometimes. if that happens return it) I got 3 of them and they're all S-IPS and kick ass. 3. 1600x1200 resolution. 3:4 aspect. Gives you a little more vertical space than a 22". Currently it's only $309 http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/prod … u=320-4687 Jun 03 09 11:52 pm Link Big Apple Studios wrote: Hmmm, comes up as $265 for me.. It's on one of the top end Sony Vaios, and is one of the best monitors I have used. Occaisionally, I'll use a NEC SpectraView 2690, which is even better, but not by much - I mainly just use it because it is bigger, and is connected to a machine which is very fast. Jun 05 09 11:44 am Link Eizo CG221 Jun 05 09 11:53 am Link Mostly, the biggest one I can get to. Jun 05 09 01:32 pm Link Evan Hiltunen wrote: i have a lacie as well. Seems pretty good but yet to have it calibrated properly..any advice on decent calibrating software please? ![]() Jun 06 09 07:18 am Link Samsung Syncmaster 244t. Screen resolution is 1920 x 1200 and it rotates 90 degrees. Its fast, clean, and clear. Love it! Jun 06 09 07:20 am Link Lenovo L220 22" wide screen, S-PVA panel for the Win machine and 20" iMac Jun 06 09 07:23 am Link I am a model but I take photos too. I am currently using a Samsung 305T+ (30" PVI). It has been a great investment and is wonderful for editing. My other monitor is a HP LP2475w (24" IPS). I like to have a few displays on hand so I can see what images look like on different monitors. I would also recommend a Spyder 3 Pro for calibration. Jun 06 09 07:29 am Link NOTHING like an APPLE CINEMA DISPLAY. I have had it over a year...and it is amazing. 30" of pure pixel perfection. I found one used and saved some money. Then I added apple care to extend the warranty...so if ANYTHING happens or goes bad (not likely) I get a free replacement! Jun 06 09 07:32 am Link |
