I often state my shutter speed out loud. I know I have to keep it faster than 1/60 sec. to get a critically sharp image. Not sure who I'm talking to... whether it's the models, assistants, camera or just myself. tongue

If you include post-processing, I talk to my PC all the time. The tone is not typically pleasant.

Sonce 90% of my work is nature-animals and birds and such the answer is generally 'No'.

I don't talk much anyway unless I'm doing a model shoot then I babble insanely to keep the model laughing and having a good time-ease tensions for both of us.

I DO curse at my cameras when things don't function properly and have times I wish I had the money so I could just draw and shoot the %$^&#$$%*&%%^&* thing.  big_smile

only if it misbehaves, and that goes for lights too.  If everything looks good, it's simply doing what I ask.  If anything goes wrong it's a dirty b1+ch @$$ son of a motherless goat!

I wonder how many people don't realize they can talk to their camera and have it listen. I get odd looks at times because I'll says things to my camera since it will record up to 60 sec per image (if you wanted to).  It gets really weird when I ask someone I just shot to say their email address or something else into the back of the camera. I use a Nikon D2H, but was shooting with a friend who had a Canon that did that and he didn't realize it.

So some of us talk to our cameras with a purpose!
