Pregnant Models...do we get a lot of work requests
Aug 07 06 09:12 am Link What I'd like to do most as a documentary photographer is to find someone that is willing to allow me to tell their story through images...to follow their pregnancy from begining to end.. I'd love to photograph the doctors visits, the ultra sounds, the moments with the father touching her belly and the expressions of love, to the moments in the hospital room as she's giving birth...I'd love to capture the expressions on her face, the doctors, the nurses, etc...And the moments after when she's handed her baby and in the hospital room after with family and friends. I hope I get to do that someday. I think it would be a beautiful addition for someone to have for their child as they grow up. I have pic now of a couple after the baby was born. I love the look between the two parents. ![]() Aug 07 06 09:21 am Link Hey.... I was signed with Expecting models.... the problem with them is that for maternity work you have to be a previous WORKING model. You also have to be living in LA or NY. This is because most of the work they have for you are editorials (magazine work) So unless you can go to a bazillion casting calls you're out of luck. The good news? If you are in one of those markets and you are a previous working model, you will get more work with maternity than you probably did when you were modeling before. Aug 07 06 09:52 am Link i wish i could find more pregnant models! i think a pregnant woman is one of the absolute most beautiful things in this world. keep looking! i'm sure there have to be a few photographers in your area that feel as passionate about pregnant women as i do! Aug 07 06 10:08 am Link Yes. Many photographers are willing to pay women for photoshoots too. Very high demand for nude work with pregant women, but I am assuming any shot that shows the belly is good. The more pregnant you are the better. Just do not book so many shoots that you do not take care of yourself and the baby first. Aug 07 06 11:08 am Link Well I had my first preg. shoot this past thursday, so I'll have some pix up asap! I'm still waiting on the rest! :-) But I'm just happy to have 1 up now :-D Aug 18 06 09:37 am Link I'm actually looking for pregnant models (too bad you are so far) to add some images to my port. I did a shoot and I loved it (I'll be adding those images soon). Parenting and pregnancy magazines will be your best shot, they need models and it's hard for them to find them. I have actually found models on this site and OMP that actually say they are looking to do exactly that, and they still don't reply. But I guess this pregnancy just wasn't meant for the modeling world... due in 7 days... going completely insane too! lol. But 1 shoot, and thats it. With moving and everything I didn't even have any pictures to submit to anything ![]() Aug 21 06 10:53 am Link Kemara wrote: I just had my son three months ago. Aug 21 06 10:56 am Link I'll answer this one with a simple request to view my current profile. Many thanks to Danielle for being such a great model and for allowing me to photograph her at such a special time. Aug 21 06 10:16 pm Link Some of my best work was my pregnancy work. I documented all months. http://www.onemodelplace.com/member.cfm/ID/48676 Aug 21 06 10:23 pm Link Kemara To bad I would also love to shoot some maternity shots and would hire you if you would work with amateurs that are trying to improve. My wife indulges my photography, but i don't think she's interested in more kids so I can have maternity shots in my portfolio. They sure grow up fast. Ken Aug 21 06 10:34 pm Link |
