Never ceases to amaze me how many people, here, accept just about anything posted on MM as a tautology, without the person making the post, the situation, or anything else.  All it takes is a rant for the "hoods and torches" mob to demand the head of the object of the rant.

Try this one:
The moon really IS made of green cheese.
It must be true; it is posted on MM!

Truths:
George Bush says so: it must be true: the faithful minions will slay you if you dare say no. There are WMD in Iraq, Saddam is the head of Al-Queda. blah , blah blah

Google: if you find it on google it must be true; hint google in not an education; if you started as a dufuss, after the google search you are still a dufuss.

Nikon: regardless of the propaganda, you still have the second best camera in the world.

Model: I dont do nudes, but. well this time.

Escorts:  a true GFE experience

Politicians: well even the spit out of their mouths is a f.cking lie.

Photographer: really, nudes are artwork!

Racists: I am piece of crap, but I am glad  there is a lower piece of crap than me!

F.CKS NEWS: "truths" for the pathetically ignorant.

So we believe all these truths; yes we do; because it makes us comfortable to believe in SOMETHING other than ourselves.

Uh, are you sure tautology is the word you wanted to use? Granted, a tautology is necessarily true; but only because it covers all the bases, for example: "All birds are either able to fly or they are flightless". Of course we all accept it as truth - because it is truth; but it's not saying much really is it? Kudos for the cool vocab and all; but the eminently simpler "fact" would have been more clear.

Actually a tautology is something that is true by definition -

"2+2=4"
"A bachelor is an unmarried man".

Phrases like this:

"The world will or will not be covered in mustard tomorrow"

are true statements because they cover all the possibilities, in this instance, concerning the world and mustard covering.  They are not necessarily tautological so much as they are all inclusive of a specific circumstance.

Tomorrow we'll discuss existentialism and its esoteric connection to ontological arguments, or alternately named "I saw God on Tuesday and he was asking about you."

I prefer a 2nd best camera system (Nikon) over the best camera brand (Canon) that craps out everytime my colleagues hit the shutter, and I have to lend them my back up Nikon when it counts... like at fashionweek...

Wait..... You mean to tell me,
That girl 1, who was chatting with girl 2, and was told by girl 2, (who by the way is 16 or something, and at a shoot without a chaperone) felt comfortable enough to tell girl 1 that she was forced into compromising nude poses, but she doesn’t want to mention the photographer’s name because if it gets out and girl 2’s father finds out that girl 2 has an online portfolio he will look at it and see the actual pic’s, (because after all they may be illegal but they are still very well done) and then kill girl 2, may not be true?

What about all that fabulous legal advice that is generated by MODELS AND PHOTOGRAPHERS?  Surely, you could at least substitute the girl on girl scenario and insert some other serious legal jam you are in

Right?

Should I NOT show up to the MM town hall meeting in my neighborhood so we can combat this as a community?

I feel lost and alone.

You are, most certainly, welcome at the MM town hall (translate, forum) witch hunt, but you MUST obey the dress code:  hoods and torches.  You are encouraged to carry a large club, but it is not mandatory.
