I have shot with a couple of 'petite' models, and noone would be able to tell the size of that girl unless someone told you so.... I don't select models depending on their height/weight, I like to shoot models who have "ce petit je ne sais quoi..." undefinable charm...

Hey! Someone should shoot a pic with a tall model looking down on a short model while she looks up, facing the camura! Lol if that hasn't been done and all.

Overlooked, short people... funny words =P

The tall and short of it...

For the work I do, height doesn't matter...but proportions do.

Okay, so this is probably a repetitive or "i should already know" question.  But what is considered proportionate?  Like I am 5'2" 95lbs 32-23-32.

My article before this last one in Glamour Lens was on "Shooting with the Petite Model."

It had all kinds of tips on how to get different looks with them...how to take advantage of their size to get shots impossible with their taller sisters...way to make them look taller if that was needed...ways to make them look even smaller when you needed that....

Many tiny girls were also in gynastics or dance...so they are often extremely flexible and quite strong for their size...one young lady I shot with held herself aloft...spanning a jungle gym by her ankles and wrists...ONLY...for several minutes before she needed to rest....

I would shoot with you anytime...petite is just fine by me!

Salma Hayek is one of the most beautiful women in the world and she appears not infrequently in high fashion mags. What you lack in length you have to supply in attitude, versatility in posing, and emotional connection and theatrix.

Famous petite women are generally not overlooked.
