A new one: "Models that cross the line"
Posted by LarryB: So we e-mail back and forth about shoot ideas and then she launches into "Right now I'm wearing a denim skirt and a pink thong, does that turn you on?" So did it??? Jun 20 05 05:31 pm Link so where were all these girls when i was in high school? and the hot teachers? i got gypped. Jun 20 05 06:50 pm Link These days, I get so tired after a shoot, if a model crossed the line, I'd ask her to come back and give me a piggy back. ba rump bump. Jun 20 05 07:07 pm Link Posted by Reese: Yes, but I don't kiss and tell :-) Jun 20 05 07:25 pm Link Posted by Reese: Hey, I haven't been molested yet. Where's mines??? Jun 20 05 07:37 pm Link No, I'm sad to say I've never been hit on or "approached" by a model. I wouldn't really expect that to happen anyway; I don't believe I come across as being open to that sort of thing. I've had models hug me, but strictly in a friendly way as they would give a friend a hug. And being around twice the age of the typical model I'm sure has something to do with it as well. But it's fun reading everyone's stories! -Pat- Jun 20 05 08:07 pm Link Posted by Chris Ambler: Best. Line. Ever. Jun 20 05 08:11 pm Link Posted by Boyd Hambleton: Which only goes to show how important it is to have health insurance. The closest I've come is a hug and some glowing mutual admiration. The funny thing is, people outside the industry think it happens all the time. Jun 20 05 08:22 pm Link Posted by Chris Ambler: LOL for real. like a total bust out from the gut laugh. Jun 20 05 08:34 pm Link Nope! I guess I have been "unlucky" there.. ;-) Funny thing is.... is that a day or two ago, I was talking to one of my photographer friends, who told me about this model who he shot with at his studio, who got him high! LOL.. imagine the tables being turned on that one!! Imagine a rumor about him getting models high, or asking it/ pushing it on them.....no way Jose! He'd be up to his neck for sure.....kind of like what Mike D. said about the "fuck" you'd be facing!! I had a model ask me out several years ago... she was the one who contacted me, and asked me if I had any plans that night...which lead to a pretty good on-and-of-again relationship.. Yep! :-) But, nope, I don't make the first move, and I haven't ever had a model try to do me on the set.. JP Jun 20 05 08:45 pm Link Yes, and I have dated three of them. Jun 20 05 08:47 pm Link Posted by McKenzie: I get hugs from almost every girl I photograph after the shoot, and that's not crossing the line at all. It's just a nice show of appreication for a wonderful time in front of the camera and for the photos. Jun 20 05 09:48 pm Link Can't say a model has ever crossed "the line", I've definitely been flirted with, and thrown it right back- but always playfully, as not to escalate it. I'm single now though- so who knows how I'd react- all bets are off! ;D Jun 20 05 10:15 pm Link Posted by McKenzie: I wouldnt call a hug crossing the line at all, even a kiss on the cheek, these are things freidns may do, and honestly at the shoot that is all i would allow. After the shoot in a more personal atmosphere.. well then its all about consenting adults.. no less and no more an ethical dilema than a relationship with a coworker at a regular job. Just dont be pushy about things( this goes for both parties;-) Jun 21 05 07:50 am Link Posted by Reese: Yeah right! Only if he's hot and he consents to it. Jun 23 05 04:49 am Link Jun 23 05 06:49 pm Link Posted by Peter Dattolo: Jun 23 05 06:54 pm Link How about this experience: I have not been shooting models that long, and am still very eager for opportunites. At a recent model/photographer get-together, I shot 4 of the models that were there in a casual outdoor setting that was part of the venue. Such opportunites are an "undocumented feature" of such get-togethers. One really got into it and I ended up with about 30 pictures, many which I considered to be some of my best, and assets to my fledgling portfolio. I always give the model the chance to reject any images they don't like, and about 80%, including my favorites, got the axe! It was almost as if she enjoyed it at the time and regretted it the next day. Has anyone experienced something like this? Jun 26 05 08:53 am Link I think lots of models hit on photographers. I've playfully flirted with some, but they all know that I don't mean anything by it (at least I hope they know). I can't help it that I'm a perv !!! lol But females can get away with it more then males because when males do it, it's considered to be sexual harassment. "OMG, officer, he touched my BUTT !!!" lol "Okay mister, please come downtown with me." I try to be pretty professional but still have fun at shoots. I try to make jokes and I always pick on the photographers because they make me get into weird positions that hurt. lol Jun 26 05 09:14 am Link waaaaa...venus....you said you meant it.... Jun 26 05 09:27 am Link A shoot between a model and photographer is a form of intimcy that is not sexual but has a lot of the same aspects. I get a certain satisfaction after shooting a model but it is NOT what some might think. Unenlightened people do not understand this difference, often the same ones that think all nudity = porn! In some ways, it is better than a sexual relationship because it can be enjoyed with multiple parters, freely discussed with others, and not ruin the marriage of either party. I have found hugs and causal touches to be a normal and enjoyable outcome of this process, and am enlightened enough to not make more out of them than what they are. We indeed are in a fortunate situation. Jun 26 05 09:56 am Link I usually call these girls.... my future ex-girlfriends. I'll never understand why some people want us ( models and photographers ) to pretend we're saints. I've noted that it's especially common on the net. Nobody makes a big deal of it when it's workers at a bar or a beauty salon ( more humping than the discovery channel.... if one of them is straight ). We work in the most high "sex tension" enviornments. We photographers complete the fantasy of most women. We adorn them in fantastic clothing, direct make-up and hair to complete the look.... and then we go and send them over the top with fabulous SHOES. What woman wouldn't get excited that we know which shoes belong with the look? It's my firm belief that the shoes alone are worth a few good hiney grabs. I subscribe to the theory that all of us in this industry have a couple of lives. There's the one we left behind when we moved to where the work was... the one Mom says she's so proud of. Then there's the other life. This one is all about living crazy, being swept up in the moment, trying something new, and awkward morning afters. I would hate to regret NOT doing something. There's nothing more expensive than regret. This is the time of our lives to be the " soap opera stars," because nothing would suck so much as to pour cold water on a super hot moment.... these are where our old age stories come from. What if in the " Bridges of Madison County," the guy just got a glass of water and bolted? Boring f'n movie huh? I say let it boil over... be safe, but let it boil over. Hell, let it burn down the kitchen! My name is Christian - I am not a Saint. You may also call me: Dirty Little Monkey. christian Jun 26 05 11:09 am Link Posted by ChristianBehr: jeez Behr, er, dirty little monkey, what took you so long to join MM? no matter, just that all the internet modeling threads will be that much more amusing to read. Jun 26 05 11:20 am Link Posted by Reese: lol... All the time, male and female models, but I don't care as long as they are not grabbing something else *wink wink* lol unless that model is my girlfriend. I guess its cause I also model and I'm not too bad looking adds to it. Jun 26 05 11:20 am Link dance monkey, dance Jun 26 05 11:21 am Link |
