We saw the "disco" resurgence and the "40s era" resurgence. Grunge poked its head out briefly

What do you think the next big "movement" will be?

Personally, I'm hoping it's early 90s SUPERMODEL era revisited. Where the women were bombshells (Claudia Schiffer GUESS? campaign anyone?). At least that's what I am gonna be pushing for.

Next big trend will be a resurgence of the 80's asexual look.

You know I have a feeling the 80s asexual look is gonna be big as well. Along with Flock of Seagulls inspired haircuts.

Hehe. That closing was humorous. I will now laugh and drink wine while listening to Hungry Like the Wolf...

Wouldn't "Girls on Film" be more appropriate?

Caution tape and $100 electric guitars.  I think they're making a big comeback this year.

I think the next big trend will be a revisit of an older trend....

Technically speaking trends circulate....I think disco or grunge is due back for a few...

I'm pretty sure the return of disco is somehow closely related to the avant-garde rep you get for being or pretending to be bisexual if you are female now.

Large format, B&W, Hurrell-style, Hollywood glamour portrait photography, but with contemporary themes.

I made that up.  I have no idea.

Dawn, like your work why don't you set the next trend.

Just tell everyone this is the new thing, they will feel odd and won't admit they didn't know that and the trend you set will be on it's way!

PS it does work!

I see jacki O
inspired
60's style kind of  mixed up with a modern
rockabilly glam for  a twist.
The accessories are big news.

I'm with you.  Those models had signature walks and personalities on the runway unlike today's models.  All of the ones today walk the same.  They'll never let it happen though because the models got too 'big'.  They became celebrities with fees to match.  I predict the return of the supermodels to magazine covers instead of all of the actresses!

Whatever it is, hardly anyone will actually go with it.  There are a LOT of people out there who just don't give a damn.  And, they want their pix done, too.

Sorry to bust everyone's bubble, but "fat" is going to be the next big thing. America is such a bunch of blimpoids that the marketing guys are staying up all night trying to figure how to spin it so that dewlaps are divine. That pounds are powerful. That cellulite is erotic. .. I could go on... but you get the point.

The 80s thing has been around for a while now, a couple of years.
I vote for Native American themes!
It would be nice (for me anyway) if the 1950s *body* style came back! smile Hehe.

Perhaps, but it sounds good. Unlikely,  though Armani's done some ads in that style recently, but good nevertheless.
