*Inspired by another posting on the subject. Tell me, who are your Muses? Who inspires your visions and drives your creativity. Who would you be lost without? I'll go first... ~ My Muses ~ ~ Victoria ~ The first model to ever ask my rates...I have been photographing Victoria since she was 15. Vic is the model that allowed me to realize how much i love my art and working within the modeling industry.... ~ Katarina ~ i first photographed when she was 13 for high fashion designer Tiger Valentine. Now, at 15 years old and 6' tall, Kat is the prototypical fashion model. She has appeared in Vogue, Teen Vogue, Seventeen and national Dillards ads. ~ Reby Sky ~ https://www.modelmayhem.com/member.php?id=3626 Reby started out as a travel companion for another NYC model that came down to work with me, well she never left Tampa. Reby is responsible for some of my strongest images... Aside from being just beautiful, she has sung on broadway, appeared in national music videos and other advertising campaigns. she is a concert level pianist and the best belly dancer ever...and OMG..just look at her. while i love and respect all the models that work with me on a regular basis, these three models are always there for me, whatever, where ever, whenever i need or want..i can count on them infinitly..they are the ones i picture in my mind, whenever i come up with any sort of creative idea.. so tell me photogs. MUAs and Stylists...Who are your muses? **And for any of the model that are reading this, i am always in the market for more** Dec 23 06 12:04 pm Link Dec 23 06 12:13 pm Link Brian Diaz wrote: like clockwork... Dec 23 06 12:15 pm Link First there was Arleah https://www.modelmayhem.com/pic.php?pid=1239717 then Melissa, who would try any pose https://www.modelmayhem.com/pics.php?id=144917 Both heve gone on to other things and I haven't found another yet, I'm having to make do with other sources of inspiration Dec 23 06 12:20 pm Link Doug Swinskey wrote: The truth often is predictable. Dec 23 06 12:40 pm Link Go look at my 11 friends. the first 5 are my MM muses to date. Many I've shot for several years. My work has always been driven by a muse. My first was Betsy back in 1970. She brought me out of the glamour overly form art void. Then there was Twinka. lots of first with her. First print accepted in the permanent collection of the MoMMA in NYC. First international show. First full spread of my work in a magazine and half of it was her. Liz followed for several years then Becky and Melissa and Claire and Cheryl and Sandie And Ex. 40 years of work defined by those 9 muses and the the other 4 listed on my MM profile. Dec 23 06 10:16 pm Link My muse said my ideas were weird. Should I fire her? Dec 23 06 10:21 pm Link My Muses: Marci: https://www.modelmayhem.com/member.php?id=20795 Kerri Taylor: https://www.modelmayhem.com/member.php?id=982 Tatiana: https://www.modelmayhem.com/member.php?id=24040 Will be Muses once I photo them more: Samantha Grace: https://www.modelmayhem.com/member.php?id=3188 Jersey: https://www.modelmayhem.com/member.php?id=5529 Violetta: https://www.modelmayhem.com/member.php?id=109547 Dec 23 06 10:57 pm Link Ok, I'll play. Columbia: ...certainly ranks up there. I've done a massive (41x21 inches) charcoal & pastel drawing of her. She's also a gallery displayed painter in her own right. As well as a budding musician & writer of poetry & when she comes back to school next month, she'll be bringing her camera & restarting her interest in photography. I'll undoubtablely be made to "suffer" the indigniaties of being in front of hers as I've made her to "suffer" the indigniaties of being in front of mine. Meg: ...has one of those faces that I'd have no problem whatsoever of doing headshots all day. She's an artist in her own right as well as pursuing her Masters in Education. Dec 23 06 11:39 pm Link https://img4.modelmayhem.com/061012/19/ … 077dc9.jpg Stacy. She is an artist, doesn't really model anymore....except for me. Too bad she lives in Atlanta with her brilliant artist boyfriend. She stayed here for 8 days and I shot her as much as I could. I have posed with her quite a few times too. Dec 24 06 01:24 am Link Jackie's one of my muses, which is pretty obvious since she accounts for half my port! But i also have a top secret muse that has yet to have been directly unleashed on the MM world Dec 24 06 03:40 am Link Right now, it's these two. Bambi and Corneilius. I can't get enough of them :-) Dec 24 06 06:00 am Link My most recent: Karen. She was everything I could possibly hope for in a muse. Beautiful (winner of a state title in the Miss USA pageant), bright, creative, outgoing and fearless in front of a camera. She loved pictures for their own sake. Unfortunately, I lost her when I moved to Texas this year, and haven't found anyone able to replace her. Dec 24 06 09:17 am Link I have 2, one is Ami S and the other is CarrieK. Both of these are great models and people who, I think, brought out the best in me when we worked together. Dec 24 06 09:31 am Link Jess... Dec 24 06 12:45 pm Link My muse is, of course, my lovely wife of 26 years, Wanda. With her love, support, inspiration and encouragement my photography has become better and, certainly, gained a much wider audience than it ever could or would have. Bill Dec 24 06 12:50 pm Link Doug Swinskey wrote: As far as I'm concerned there is only one possible answer. All women have the inherent ability to become a 'muse', it's the job of the photographer to find the muse in the woman in front of his/her lens. So ... whether posing for the first time or a highly experienced model, my favorite muse is the lady in front of my camera. Dec 24 06 01:32 pm Link I wish we lived closer together...I absolutely love working with this model. https://modelmayhem.com/member.php?id=216573 Dec 24 06 01:38 pm Link Dec 24 06 01:50 pm Link Valerie Whitaker #5028 Amanda Wagner #6918 My newest: Elizabeth #10798 Dec 24 06 02:57 pm Link All these models are very beautiful! Dec 24 06 02:59 pm Link My muse Is Greg, but I'm moving away from him, so I'm going to have to find a new one... Dec 24 06 10:26 pm Link Wish I had one... Dec 25 06 12:38 am Link The way you posted the polaroid, then the professional pictures, thats such an awesome idea! And all three finished pictures are beautiful, thats's really wow-worthy.. Dec 25 06 12:56 am Link Bradley. She was always the most fun to work with. I loved working with her, haven't had someone I enjoyed working with as much since she stopped modeling. Dec 25 06 11:11 am Link I took almost 3000 pics of her in 15 months. She isn't even interested in modeling. First person I ever shot, have been doing so for almost 20 years (yes she still looks great). This lady went from nobody to having an 8 page spread in Makes & Models magazine. All three made me work my way to the next level - I need one or two more!
