I worked with a model this past weekend, and she mentioned that 9 out of 10 photographers she has worked with were "creepy", meaning that they had an underlying intention of having sex with her (I was the 1 by the way, not any of the 9). I was shocked to hear that ratio!

What does anyone else think? Maybe she's not thoroughly checking her references? Or maybe she just has the dumb luck of attracting creeps?

I agree with Rowland, you really need to work on your creepiness skills.  Sure, it's not easy, but with hard work and dedication I think you have what it takes to make it to true creepiness status.

Eye of the Tiger, baby!

I would say that .... 1 in 10 for me is creepy by that description. Am I working with the wrong people?? Why don't these photographers I work with put out the "I want to have sex with you" vibe? I must not be bootylicious enough.

She might be one of those people that believes everyone wants in her pants.

Any interaction between adult males and adult females of post-puberty age is going to have some level of sexual tension, unless maybe the male is unconscious.

Even in situations where there really shouldn't be any, there will be still a spark waiting to be ignited.

Can you imagine how boring photos could be, without some of that? (I have often wondered how a guy who is 100% confirmed gay can do a sexy shot of a woman and infuse it will real tension.)

But having the feelings floating around doesn't mean that anything real will happen. (The escort will see to that, LOL!)

i barely have the energy to hit the shutter release after setting up the shoot, mua, assistant, travel etc, much less the intention of having sex with any of my models, she may be working with the wrong people.

I wonder if she told the same story to the other 9 photographers she shot with.
And will the OP be included with the creeps when she shoots with the next photographer.

My opinion, she's either-

(A) an idiot for not checking references, credentials, website, and other models who have worked with him.

(B) extremely unlucky, if these are all professional photographers she's dealing with.

(C) delusional, thinking everyone wants her

(D) liar

(E) so unbelievably and incredibly beautiful that it could be true

As with a few people, maybe she likes to draw attention to herself by increasing the drama in her life.

I’ve hear that children that don’t get attention for being good will act out poorly to get any attention.

Myself, I would have nodded and moved past her comment.

I usually wear a pair of jeans with the zipper ripped out when shooting. And of course, I always go with an unfurnished basement. That usually creeps 'em out post haste. If that doesn't work I change into a pair of leather chaps. *Just* leather chaps.

Sexual tension is a great stimulus for creativity! I suspect there was just a lot of playful, flirting banter going on just to pass the time between shots. I also think that sometimes the love of the photographic process accidently and erroneously crosses the line and transfers to the people involved. To maintain the professional demeanor we have to be on constant vigilence lest we fall into depravity smile

Not always so. A man and a woman can shoot a model butt naked and not have any sexual desires. I think that it's just the model looking for this. I mean come on, look at the pattern here.

Perhaps she's the one thats attracted to 9 out of 10 photogs.
Due in part because she is not advanced upon, the photogs become 'creepy'?

I think maybe she's shot with Hyunh 9 times before you. Also, we all know that models are not very good with math or ratios so I take that statement with a grain of salt smile

Yeah, Jessalyn's not hot at all. Nope. No sir. Not a bit. (Thinking baseball stats. Need a cold shower) uh-uh, not hot.....

Seriously, as a photographer, it's part of my process to acknowledge to myself what it is about my model that I find desireable. I never act on it, I never say it out loud. But still, isn't that the nature of what we try to capture?

Man! I thought I would get slapped if I put my hand on a certain 'asset' of a female model and everyone at the shoots going "Do it!" Why is a photpgher creepy just because he's showing he likes what hes shooting? *confused*

Hey that wasn't a photo shoot. It was the set of the Jodie Foster film "The Accused." And that WAS creepy lol.
