April 14, 2008 9:37pm I am really in love with this one too, the tangential chin and arm working its magic once again. The arm framing the face but more than that, above and below a fantastic tone and form of a background as if painted by DaVinci himself. The eyes hold us, of course, but the great strand of hair across the face in bold sun almost meets its shadow right as your left eye fixes us still. The shadows on the arm and shoulder and the cheekbone soften and round the entire photo and are balanced by the shadow on the raised arm. The hair and its texture are the passion and balance of the image, with the lower strand on the arm again reaching toward the other line, a tease. The spot of blue rings like a bell. The background branch in the muted moss-like foliage is just perfect to not detract, but again to pull the eye around and back to your gaze. Butterfly sunlight puts the simple shadow under the nose, and if the lips weren't just that delicate, or if there had been eye liner, the whole balance and moment would have been lost. I'd like one of these to go, but I can't keep up with my beautiful women as they arrive on the site ... love you so!
