April 14, 2008 9:54pm Don't you love this game. Aren't you all so marvelous! Each time I finish falling in love with the photographs and the models, another arrives. I am like a child on Christmas morning with too many presents. But look, people, isn't it fantastic that we aren't all alike. There's a Swedish doll way back in my collection that simply takes your breath away in blue and gold, and then our Barbados lady with the umber and gold and black. And now, look at this face, cut as pure and smooth as fine silk with almond eyes so incredible, and ebony hair flowing down to support this form as a pure work of art. The hat is perfect in embracing this gift, the background a delight with a soft series of lines, framing, teasing. The V of the neckline with a touch of shadow, reaching up again, magically to the chin and around again, either way to hold. The dark blue shoulder steadies the image and pairs perfectly with the hat right out of my color theory and harmony class. Cover the stripes and there is no foil nor graphic to balance, indeed, to make us earn the right to gaze at perfection. Am I getting good, or what! I know its fifth period, but if you doze and fall out of your chair it's a zero for the day.
