January 06, 2008 1:30am Although the lighting is very warm and comforting this image produces a slight sense of anxiety like you have been kept awake thinking or wondering about the house. The sculptor Louise Bourgeoise and many popular psychologists have equated the dream image of the house with the dreamer's concept of the self or in a more specific sense the body. Something about this also makes me feel that this might be a composition about the afterlife since that lighting and the predominance of fairly nuetral colors remind me of a heaven/holy scene. A very mysterious and beautiful image.
