December 07, 2006 4:48pm Beautiful picture. I like the softness of the face. It contrasts well against the texture of the rope. Nice bit of color in the flower. That sums up what is an AMAZING pic. Great stuff.
September 15, 2006 12:06pm Caroline, I just wanted to thank you once more for your proper interpretation of this image. Aelah and I both are not fond of bondage and its demising implications. The presence of ropes here has a much more significant force than just a tool to tie a woman down for mere thrill of it. I am glad you saw through the clutter!
September 14, 2006 9:28pm Thank you for your message sweetie, and just to add here, the reasoning for my seeing the ropes as representing immobilization is the fact that you are holding a beautiful flower in your hands that are tied by those ropes. It's as though the photographer (artist I will use here as this is true art in my opinion) was trying to say that sometimes there can be beauty in the world that for whatever reason can not be shared. My other interpretation is that sometimes the world can be so painful and crass, but by holding onto the things that are beautiful to us, we can continue on to the next day.... Or perhaps I am just projecting???? Either way, this is just such a wonderful image and it so speaks to me...
September 14, 2006 8:57pm A beautiful image.... I normally don't take well to anything involving bondage, but honestly, this isn't how I see this photo... Rather, I see the ropes as being representative of being immobilized but not only physically. The composition, lighting, everything is just wonderful!
