September 27, 2007 6:21am This photo is firing on all 8 cylinders. The pose is dynamic, the lighting is dynamic. The main light is nice, but the little kicker that just grabs the shoulder and the back of the hair really makes a difference. The tones are rich and nuanced, and there's nice shadow detail. Appropriately, there's a halo behind her... I've seen the horizontally-framed version, and I like that too. My only quibble with this one, is that little puff of hair by her right shoulder. I know there's a gradient there, but I bet you could retouch that out.
