October 29, 2013 2:52pm This is an exceptionally appealing portrait. The soft, directional lighting highlight's the model's porcelain skin whilst providing a pleasing modelling shadow on her left cheek. The blue background compliments the model's blue eyes (which have wonderful catchlights) and it also provides good seperation. There is some amazing detail retained in the hair which sweeps gloriously across the forehead and cascades over the left shoulder. The flowers in the foreground add a splash a colour whilst the tight cropping really gives the image an intimate but quite dynamic feel. The model's eyes are the focal point (as they should be) and they certainly demand the viewer's attention. Although quite a refreshingly simple image it's impact is in no way diminished due to your artistic and technical skills. If I had to use one word to describe this image it would be 'striking'. Well done.
