The faintly yellow background adds to the ambiguity, as white could be evocative of "purity" and innocence, but with the faint yellow, there is something else. The continuous contradiction between the content and the model's expression makes this photograph interesting both in terms of simple appreciation and of interpretation. Well-conceived.
