September 28, 2012 7:31pm This is really neat in every way. You know, and most people don't see the details in a composition, but just cover the bolts at the bottom left of the photo (not that YOU aren't very fine!) and the balance and depth have changed. Even I, as a photographer, haven't critiqued my own work as well as I should. I had a fine professional photo lab, Tri-Color in Wilmington, Delaware, and the wonderful owner would take the time to have me spread all my 5x7 proofs out on the floor when I picked up an order (usually beach headshots ... I used to send my "found" models 5x7s when they were $1 each from slides in 1968!), ask me which I liked best ... and then tell me WHY! A real education, and he was always right!
