May 12, 2008 11:28pm Some lovely shots in your portfolio. While there were some more artsy / serious shots, I chose this one, as I feel it succeeds more fully.
Of course this image is very striking because of the placement of the breasts within the frame, but also the way the composition, lighting, and wardrobe all tie into the pose. The breasts are at the intersection of two lines, one the diagonal from upper right to lower left, and the other being the one one from the right forearm through the bra to the wheel. This draws attention even more to this voluptuous area.
Then there is the stark white bra contrasting with the patterned outfit (drawing the red from the back -- nice ) and the arching of the back upward really gives this an upward thrust. The strong and unfiltered sunlight coming downward gives a sense of motion upward towards the light (with the shadows under the chest and ribcage), with the hair and neck really sealing the deal.
Because the subject is so prominently placed there really is no question about subject, but I still feel the background is a little but busy for this type of shot. The placement here makes it work with the perspective though.
Very sexy.
