It makes me think of the doubts a young bride might have... not quite looking back, but hesitating for just a moment on the road to the rest of her life.. considering what lies before and all around her. The barren trees can be seen as gloomy or foreboding, an empty life ahead... or maybe not, maybe just part of a cycle. The trees will flourish again. Hm hmm. I don't know if this image was intended to be so thought provoking, but it certainly makes me think.
