April 19, 2008 12:32pm Everytime I look at your portfolio I always am drawn back to this image. Personally I'd do something with the cropping on the right side and (maybe, maybe not) with all that sky up top in order to balance it just a bit more, but still, there is such a powerful emotional statement going on here--loneliness, determination, the '50s and Kerouac and "on the road"...this picture is so simple yet it hits you right in the gut. It's as good as anything hanging in a photo museum.
May 19, 2007 11:56am There is an overwhelming sense of lonliness in the picture. When you can tap an emotion like that, you've done a great job as a photographer.
