August 28, 2011 11:21pm Very nice expression and pose! The composition and lines draw the viewer into the image. There is a very subtle connection being made, but it remains so because there is no eye-contact - yet we can see the eye, and the face is not in 100% profile. The diagonal line of the left hand complements the jaw-line and eye-brow, and your off-white back-ground makes the background less prominent by utilizing the white-space, and also the diagonal on your right-shoulder is symmetrical with you jaw-line, and that diagonal goes down and intersects with your left-arm and creates a 'V" around your face and thus we are drawn into the image trying to establish contact, only to get a very very subtle look.
