March 12, 2014 3:54pm I normally run screaming from railroad track shots. However, this one draws me into the photo! Your composition is what makes this photo work. The tracks face away to the left, and the model, taller and wider than the tracks, is the central strength of the shot. The thin light pole on the right, adds to the vertical interest, but does not attract from this beautiful, strong man! Well done!
January 19, 2007 9:24am A standard rule nowadays for photographers is "avoid the railroad tracks shot"--but your image is solid and compelling. The model, his look, posture, the one leg slightly up, and the tracks cuving off into the distance all give this image a true feel of originality. Very nice.
