March 27, 2011 5:29pm The other day I was having a discussion with a painter (I am a photographer), she felt that photographers were not artists in the way that painters or sculptors are artists. I told her that I tend to agree. In most instances painters CREATE art, while most photographers merely CAPTURE art.
This is how photographers become artists.
