That's a percussion cap rifled musket; it looks like an Enfield M1853 .577 to me. It could be found anywhere from 1835 to 1895 depending on the region, but most likely 1855-1865.

OHhh yeah! This reminds me of some of those historical re-enactments I used to go to at Fort Loudoun up on the "Little T".
